Intuition, but at that point, you're into Control Lands/Eternal Garden territory.
Any chance someone wants to give this a whirl just to see if it's even worth exploring?

3 Terravore
1 Eternal Witness
4 Tarmogoyf

4 Life from the Loam
2 Sylvan Learning...
From the Ashes/Ruination fucks them in the ass. Ensnaring Bridge is a nice stall, Peacekeeper is tech, Humility, etc.
I just don't think it's necessary. Plus, the more brick lands you have, the more chance of getting fucked by a Delver deck accidentally. I mean, feel free to try, though.
I think the matchup is pretty hard, especially with the 4C Kronberger Special. Traditional Jund Loam I think has better threats (Terravore tramples, you also have Goyfs to combat theirs, etc.) and a...
My thoughts exactly. Chalice seems like a must to protect from STP.

Now you've got my motor running. I don't call them Beta duals anymore, I call them most people's rent payments. Feels better that way, because the salt is more real.
I'll be testing Frog monster dude in old school Jund Assault Loam, since the synergy seems just fine. Expensive to cast? Of course, but I'm game to try.

I was thinking something along the lines of:
4 Knight of the Reliquary
2 Terravore
1 Eternal Witness
2 Green Sun's Zenith
3 Life from the Loam
3 Seismic Assault
Yes, but Countryside is obviously now hot garbage. Seismic Assault seems like it could still be a thing.
Kronberger really pushed the deck into existence last year in Europe, and it's the 4C Loam...
Anyone still trying to jam old school, non-Kronberger Loam? :P

I'm going to be trying this after exams are over, since, nostalgia:
3 Terravore
1 Eternal Witness
4 Knight of the Reliquary
8
3 Sylvan Library
3 Seismic Assault
3 Punishing Fires
Johannes, you traitor! :P

I'm going to go back to Jund and give it a try again. Good ol' Seismic Assault, maybe, and some Devastating Dreams. Fuck the horde.
-Matt
Then you Devastating Dreams them out of the game.
Run Devastating Dreams maindeck again. They only run low powered creatures and they're reasonably landlight, but they run Basics. The level of Spell Pierce in the format is exceptionally low, and...
For the 4C Loam builds most of you are running, and those who are also running Charm in the board, is the red constraint for RR for Devastating Dreams too backbreaking, or is the instant speed -1/-1...
Devastating Dreams no bueno with Deathrite Shaman. I mean, I like the guy, but I don't like nuking myself when I don't have to.
-Matt
I'll be trying this:
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Countryside Crusher
3 Terravore
3 Diabolic Edict
4 Life from the Loam
3 Seismic Assault
4 Mox Diamond
I didn't have enough slots, and I figured they'd be loose slots since I'm running Chalice.
I brought out:
-3 Crusher
-3 Goyf
-2 Terravore
-1 Entomb
-9
Should've gone 4-0, but went 3-1 with one close loss against Shardless and placed second last night:
Round 1: Win against Jund
Round 2: Loss against Shardless
Round 3: Win against Painter...
Against Miracles, I usually take out Goyfs and Terravores. They're really awful even if you manage to get rid of Rest in Peace, so you might as well board them out. You can always hold Fires until...
It was super late when I typed out the list. The list is missing 4 Mox Diamond.
I want more cycling lands, sure, but I also want good mana development, especially with Dreams now coming back into...
Ran this to a 3-1 finish, losing only to bad draws against Jund:
3 Countryside Crusher
3 Tarmogoyf
4 Dark Confidant
2 Terravore
12
3 Punishing Fires
3 Decay
Counterbalance sucks. Sure, you have Decay, but if you don't have it, have fun getting locked out of Loam. Also, tutoring for Rest in Peace is also quite balls.
