    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

I tested a junk list very similar to maharis's last night to good results against Elves, Infect, and a UB Death's Shadow list. Mana feels great. Brutality not being an instant was relevant a few...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

The interesting thing I noted about that list was the 2nd Rec Sage in the SB. I'm expecting not just a lot of Blood Moon, but Dragon Stompy at the GP, and would really like to improve that MU....

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

If you have a spell powerful enough that it forces the opponent to concede on the spot, I don't think it's wise to board it out. I don't know why you think it's a dead draw later, either; it's not...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

While I don't know about Thalia (again, expensive removal on our end), I don't think I'd ever board out Chalice against Grixis Delver. I play fairly frequently against a local guy on Grixis Delver,...

It's also a removal spell that isn't dead in the SnT, ANT, or Reanimator match ups. Escalation is always optional.

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

Wait....why are we favored? The match ups I bring Leyline in for we are not favored, certainly not enough to warrant cutting my chances of seeing a game changer by 10%.

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

My issue with Library lately is that in many of the midrange match ups these days, I'm contending with Leovold. While this deck has plenty of answers for Leovold, it's handy to be able to ignore half...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

Proposed changes to my last list: cut Sylvan Library altogether, move the 2nd copy of Collective Brutality from the side to the main, and up the number of Leylines from 3 to 4. Thoughts?

In hindsight I may have boarded out Teeg in that MU, keeping in Library.

    @btm10:
Regarding Decays and Reanimator, I don't know how I feel about that. I never feel like I have enough control over the Reanimator MU to warrant playing a step ahead of their counter-hate. If...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

    Hey folks,
I don’t post much anymore, but I’ve been playing 4 Color Loam on and off since last summer, and it’s what I’ll (in all likelihood) be taking to Grand Prix Vegas. There was a trial at my...

I disagree, for a few reasons:
1.) He doesn't suffer the "investment problem" cards like coatl do. When you cast him (arguably not hard in this deck), he's a big fat fatty that tramples over TNN and...

I hadn't considered which fetch they opened with. In that case, if I have reason to believe I'm in the combo MU, yes, I would slam the chalice.

1.) Thoughtseize hedges you against t1's that don't have a Mox. Yes, it's dead weight otherwise, but that ability is really important in my testing.

I would like to note that this deck "broke out" at BoM 2014, pre-Khans. Meta looked much like we'd expect it to - more Miracles, more BUG, more Elves. I think it'll be fine.

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

I'm not suggesting overboarding for it. My board really hasn't changed much from earlier lists: it changed the Thalia to an Ethersworn Canonist, and changed the Choke to an Engineered Plague. My...

Friend and I (both are still practicing Loam) tested this list against Grixis Delver and Merfolk on Wednesday a bunch of times. Games were really swingy, especially with Merfolk. Chalice is mostly...
