What about the other Delve demon that can kill creatures? I've seen him in lists awhile ago.
A 4x Chains Pox list made some waves a little while ago. Think here from page 170:

...
I don't think you would want Gamble here unless you also wanted Entomb, because that's what it would usually be in Pox.
What are you tutoring for? I think Beseech is probably the best option...
I liked the Innocent bloods for being able to take out Leovolds and True Name Nemesis, or just a turn 1 answer against several effects. Collective Brutality was pretty good.
I ran the list this...
My meta seems to be a lot more flush with creature mid range decks (Grixis Delver, DnT, Elves, 4C Leovold/DRS/Snapcaster, partially UR Delver) than any sort of combo or dedicated control (SnT, ANT,...
I took a list for a spin last night, went 1-2. Mostly won round 1 due to bad hands from Reanimator Depths, then lost to 4c Control and DnT 0-2. DnT I beat in an extra game, but effectively lost...
Was going through the old Obscure Cards thread, found Bosium Strip. Would that have use here? Pox seems to use a lot of removal spells. The likes of Tombstalker could be useful to trim the yard...
Remoreless - 3BB: 4 discards, 10 life, or 2 creatures/walkers
Torment of Hailfire - 3BB: 3 discards, 3 non-land permaments, or 9 life
Mix and match of course, but that's the max of each mode.
Didn't realize that both were non-land permanents. Might make them stronger than what I thought originally. Still a punisher mechanic that the opponent can choose the lesser of both evils.
It can't copy most of the cool Pox permanents except for Chains or Nether Void, and even Void you would have to activate early in the turn in anticipation of spells. I don't see it here unless you...
Looks like he never cast it and always cut it during board.
His deck seems to struggle with Vial so null rods and Needles seem important (Merfolk, DnT).
Thinking back to that heavy Legends deck with 4 chains, would Oppression be able to mimick Chains? The big hit is that it doesn't shut down Brainstorm/Jace, especially late game, but turning all...
That's incredible. Assume it's for Depths?
How necessary are Bitterblossoms in the board of the heavy Legends decks that win with Mishra's/Spawning Pool/Cursed Scroll/Phyrexian Totem? Any other alt win cons that are useful besides...
Thanks for the list. Scales seems fairly well positioned if you can land it after all your Hymns, locking out TNN, Leovold, Show and Tell, Angler, Marit Lage. A list with Rituals to accelerate it out...
Looking to build something with Tabernacle, Chains, Abyss, Void, Noetic Scales, and probably Crucible and/or Nev Disk. Major Pox card I don't have seems to be Bloodghast. Would I just use a recent...
Oh, yeah, you're right. I was thinking of the interaction between Scales and token generators. That doesn't work then.
I think decks with Phyrexian Totem could try playing Culling Scales. Scales is slow but effective at grinding away on a board of permanents (Moxes, Vial, equipment, creatures), and if there's...
A BG Loam Pox deck took down this 33 person tournament.

Shadow of Doubt if you're aiming at resource denial. Fetches being the big one. Analogous to Sinkhole.
With these Loam Pox builds, I think a Ghost Quarter or two is essential. I'd consider cutting the Sinkholes for them. In playtesting with the Bloodghast build posted above yesterday, something like...
Liliana ultimate, target yourself, pass turn, don't die, GG
Underworld Dreams can screw up walkers very nicely. The damage can be redirected to them, and if it's Jace then his Brainstorm ability will kill him instantly.
I actually won a tournament off of this interaction to beat an Entreat. Surgical might be better so that you can pop it out of nowhere and don't have to worry about keeping the mana open. They get...
