Is wanting to win a good enough reason?
No changes.
What effect did banning TC have on the meta? As far as I can tell, banning TC did absolutely nothing. I would expect a DTT ban to change nothing as well.
I would like to point out that Ancestral Recall only got 8/16 of Vintage Champs.
The decks that are currently doing well run 16+ of the same blue cards or prison decks (7 thorn, port/waste, chalice, or some combination of those). We already have one format like this.

I agree with your assessment. Banning DTT won't do anything. Banning Top would shake things up quite a bit though.
You guys aren't going to convince each other at this point. I would like to suggest changing the topic back to "B/R Update Speculation".
I think WotC will ban Dig Through Time next week and unban...
I don't think it will matter if they ban DTT. It won't be enough to change anything. It will be just like banning TC.
You will go from 77% blue to 75% blue and nothing will really change....
It's fine, this format is skill testing. Everyone plays the same cards and they reduce variance. It's like chess with pictures and words you don't have to read.
It's been like that for 7 months now. I think I should just use the same lines you spewed for the last 7 months.
"Don't cry just b/c you can't play your pet deck"
"The blue shell is fine, play...
What happened was TES isn't playable anymore. Now he wants things banned.
BS 16/16 at an SCG event
Latest SCG top 8: 5 Jace control decks, 1 show and tell and 2 prison decks.
Edit: top 16: 8 Jace control decks, 1 show and tell, 2 tempo and 5 prison decks.
Same.
Wizards basically said when the banned TC that they will never ban BS. So, now understanding the rules, I'm ok with it. Legacy is fine if you accept that BS is never going anywhere.
Why? You aren't going to play with them anyways. It's like complaining if "White Knight" was banned. Wouldn't matter at all.
So, I think there is an announcement soon. The format is still blue but it's hard to determine what the best deck is, no deck architype is dominating and the legacy is a lot more fun than it was 3...
He is a troll.
What I remember from that GP was all of the articles coming out the next week about how terrible the format was and the ban hammer that came down shortly afterwards on the combo decks.
You don't...
Ok, so I can see you are putting a lot of effort into this one. There is a reason that no one agrees with you though.
Were you around when Modern was just starting as a format? I think it was the...
Alright, in what scenario can you see it getting banned over a newly printed card?
ah, forgot strip mine!
I'm just saying they will never ban them, not that they are, or are not, important to the meta game. I don't think the data for a BS ban will ever be stronger than it was...
There should be a list at the top of this thread, instead of a poll, titled "Cards that will never get banned so stop wasting your time". The list would include FoW, Brainstorm, Ponder, any non-combo...
My guess is that it will just go back to what it was pre-TC (Miracles, TA, Shardless, Deathblade)
