Hey dudes, I tested out Myth Realized for the first time yesterday at a local 5-rounder (20~ participants) and I managed to get a top 4 split.
This was my first tournament since the Top banning,...
How badly do you think you need Volc #3? Maybe shave one for the conclave?
@swordstoplowsharesguy
I feel like you certainly have the tools to beat Elves, I am surprised to see it be unfavorable. Maybe find room for some number Engineered Explosives? It's also very good...
The black splash is very small, it's mainly for EE at 3. I prefer it over red because of having access to Vindicate and the three mana sweepers (Perish/Virtue's Ruin). Also Bolt forces you to fetch...
Bringing this shit back baby.
I jammed UWb Landstill at the NELC last Saturday going 4-2-1, shaking some of the rust off along the way. I honestly think the deck is well positioned at the...
Congratz on the results.
Holy man-lands batman... a very interesting list. All the ETB-tapped lands makes me nervous though, were they ever an issue?
I like that you managed to shoehorn Path...
I was trying a similar counter heavy build for a time, but it never seemed to work out for me. You don't get the proper balance between answers off of your Standstills. It's really awkward &...
I've also gone through this fluctuation over the years. Started with 1, upped it to 3, then 0 and now still debating between 1 and 2.
I had been testing the deck a while with no Top, as was the...
Well Land Grant costs 1G... So misstep hits Rite of Flame and Tinder Wall and I guess Pyroblast post board. It's not horrible but it's not great.
It has been forever since I've posted, but this was interesting to me as I always end up playing wishless builds.
Mainly this was because of how slow Wish is, but apparently that has not been an...
Typically the claim of something being 100% better than something else comes AFTER thorough testing with results to compare against previous results... but I must say your approach of making sweeping...
Congratz! Was there No Top8 cut?
What went wrong in the matchups you lost?
How were the Karakas + Tolaria west for you? Was it ever a problem that they weren't basics?
Was T.West's lack of speed ever a factor?
I suppose there have been worse opening posts, welcome to The Source anyway.
Although that was painful to read, I still managed to soldier through it and this is what I've got:
Your assessment...
Um...*head scratch* Warren Wierding and Stingscourger don't really do anything to us. I guess Weirding would be annoying if they swung with Lackey and you activated a Factory to block, but if this...
Ha, we'll see. I'll run it by the lady tonight.
You hit it there w/Merfolk. We need a plan, and Decree can help a lot. I've seen some Merfolk players not board out Standstill's against...
Man I wish I could make it down to Philly D:. Alas, we just moved last weekend and still have a crap ton of work to do. Maybe I'll say screw it and road trip down for the legacy on Sunday... xD....
I can buy your take on most of that. Pushing Landstill in a direction to optimize Standstill (what a concept!) has enormous potential. And if you're not using/abusing Standstill, you're really not...
A couple of things probably. Aggro decks are certainly not one of them.
Merfolk can be a rough matchup depending on your build. People generally viewed it as a horrible matchup and abandoned the...
Unless your meta is infested with reanimator, (in which case you should probably be playing something esle) with your MD I would do this:
-Karakas/T.West/Ruins
+Island/Plains/Wasteland...
No, Maze of Ith is bad in Landstill because you need your lands + landdrops to make mana really badly.
I've dropped Fact or Fiction for Jace. He's just so much more versatile. He can affect the board, gives you CA without giving your opponent any information, and is a maindeck out to Iona on white....
I've toyed with the idea, but in the end gave up on it. It doesn't really help solve any of Landstill's problem matchups.
OR, it could be, you know, this:
You should be crushing any decks that play Grunts, War Monks or Predators.
But I don't play Firespout, so maybe that has something to do with it. <3 Wrath.
