    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Sure, but those few more creatures typically don't really matter too much. Especially in case of the Troll, since it usually comes down for well over 30/40+.

It might provide more value than...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Haven't tried it yet. You are right in that it makes your openers a lot better and makes for more keepable hands. It's just that it's live only 40% of the time. The other 60% of the time it does...

    Nice result.

Creeping Chill has to be hilarious vs. Death's Shadow. Sure, knock your own life total down *flip*

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Unmask is valuable in that it can strip away RiP/Grafdigger's Cage before it hits the field. But double timewalking yourself to do so can still be quite the burden.

I typically just take the mulligan. It's much less risky.

  8. Re: [GRN] Guilds of Ravnica & [RNA] Ravnica Allegiance

It really isn't. You don't want to give your opponent control over what's going to happen to them. Plus it has no immediate impact nor does it lock your opponent out of executing their gameplan and...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

It's b/c those are the somewhat flex slots. Chancellor does what it's intended for only about 40% of the time while you'll have all 4 of your Chills in your library 60% of the time. Chill just...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

@Ronald Deuce: Creeping Chill not feeding Ichorid isn't important. The other thing you'd run in that slot is Chancellor of the Annex, which doesn't feed Ichorid either.

On the Giant and Flayer -...

And that's why I said Flayer got a boost w/ the introduction of Chill.

    Congrats, you got it.

    Re: [Primer] Nic Fit

It's 2 to 3 turns slower (GSZ and/or summoning sickness) than actual Pod and can be Fatal Pushed and Karakas'd. Should be a solid no-go.

    It's more cute than good.

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Chill is pretty good. Last week it helped me fight through a Grafdigger's Cage(!) with my 2 lone zombie tokens.

As for Giant or Flayer, both are fine. Flayer is probably more robust (and got a...

@Whoshim It's the same problem. You're looking to exchange I win for something else. Don't.

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Well... Prized Amalgam is a thing now. And there's Creeping Chill, which is pretty good.

I also don't see why you'd run Bedlam Reveller over "I win". Colour matters very little in Manaless (unless...

@Listlik: You might want to join the Nic Fit Discord channel.

As for questions 2 and 3 - Neither Wasteland or GQ are suitable Nic Fit cards. Neither is the new Vraska.

Sticky: Re: Budget Legacy Guide V5

Most are still rather dreadful. And BG Pod Fit should just be BG regular Nic Fit. Pod is just too slow and durdly to be anywhere near competitive.

4 LEDs are a budget choice..?

I would've gone with Manaless Dredge, which is lethal enough in its own right.
  21. Re: Five well tuned Monocolored Legacy decks that play well against each other.

You can build Elves!, High Tide, Burn and Pox for starters. MUD as 6th "colour"?
