Not sure what you mean by this. You can name a card that is not in their hand.

Correct. Food Chain's activated ability is a mana ability (it adds mana to your mana pool and doesn't have any targets) and therefore can't be Stifled.
It's the third un-set, and it's called 'Unstable'.
Standard rotates once per year, one year (i.e. 4 sets) at a time. When the fall set of 2017 (Ixalan) is released, all sets older than the fall set of 2016 (BFZ, OGW, SOI, EMN) rotate out of Standard....
I think Collective Brutality is just the better card. Would not be surprised to see it replace Unmask in most BR Reanimator lists going forward.
All I want is a black-bordered Goblin Settler.

You didn't even try, did you?
I don't think you want to cut the 1-mana cyclers.
If it costs more than $30 and is not on the reserved list, it's expensive.
What about Angel Stompy? Surely your "impressive collection" must include 4 Moat?
Edit: Never mind, apparently i can't read.
There better be a Winter Orb masterpiece with polar bears on it in Aether Revolt.
I look forward to finding a Jitte in my sealed pool at the Return to Kamigawa prerelease.
Absolutely. The Wasteland-Stifle-Daze plan is obviously much stronger game 1 if your opponent does not know what deck you're playing. Then again, similar arguments can be made for most decks, I guess.
I'm still confused. You're saying Dark Depths is sacrificed as the triggered ability is put on the stack? And then, when a player receives priority and successfully counters the triggered ability...
Perhaps a dumb question, but I'm not afraid to make a fool of myself: other colored stompy decks (notably blue and red variants) play Chrome Mox over Mox Diamond. Why is Mox Diamond better in white...

Question for those of you who bought boxes to draft with friends: Do you make your friends pay you to draft and then everyone gets to go home with the cards they drafted, or do you let your friends...
Not including Flusterstorm is inexcusable.
What are the others?
Looks like Demonic Hordes.
Basic lands used to only say "Land". The "basic" supertype first appeared on cards in 8th Edition.

Unlimited Winter Orb just jumped from $15 to $90. Revised, 4th Edition, and 5th Edition hasn't moved at all. Thanks, 93/94!
This set better have Daze. I refuse to pay $120 for a digital playset.

I would recommend watching Bon Huang pilot the deck on MTGO. Should give you a better feel for what hands are keepable on the play/draw, and what lines of play are good versus different opponents.

I'm building this deck and I'm trying to figure out whether I need to invest in Bayous or not (I have full sets of blue fetches and blue duals). In this thread I see lists running anything from 0-2...
