    Re: [Primer] Dredge

    I would.
I'd consider cutting Study to make room for 4x B-thru too.

Street Wraith is a card I've played with a lot. It's real use is in-hand, for post-board situations, to see if they play a...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Well it seems they've finally given us some new cards to ponder, and taken away one of our first choice cards in Probe.
I'm currently using Chancellor in that slot, but I'm testing with a deck...

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

When I was running AD, the *cannot be countered* text is sooooo important.
I used to run a couple of petals in the side for it too.

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

Yeah I stopped running Abrupt Decay quite a while ago for the same reasons stated above.
Since DRS kicked the bucket, I've been concentrating on building the deck & side fast. Not quite fearless,...

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

Mausoleum Secrets is one of the newbie's from the new set.
Instant-speed tutor opens up possibilities, however it isn't a flexible tutor (which I don't like generally) and at 2-cmc it might be...

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

Sphinx of Lost Truths isn't optimal IME. Altho, SoLT is unlikely to be targetted with Reanimate, unlike Griselbrand
I tend to max out on the combo enablers (like Breakthru) and face biters (Icky)...

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

I've been testing with Stitcher's Supplier.
    Thoughts;
It doesn't protect our GGT in the yard like Street Wraith can, and it doesn't drop dredgers from our hand like Putrid Imp. That said, it will...

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

Street Wraith was all about DRS being so bloody prevalent in the meta for me. Now DRS is gone, I don't think we need the extra food for Icky. Wraith is gone for me.

I assume now that DRS is...

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

He won on Turn 1? Yeah that hardly ever happens, sounds like he's shitting you.
Why isn't it played more? Because T1 terminal hate exists I guess.

Seriously though, given the steep entry price...

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

My experience of elves in general, is that they bank on their speed to win, much like us.
Elves is the main reason I typically run Firestorm, over any other deck. I'm not sure Gravestone is where I...
  11. Re: How would the printing of Angelic Spirit Guide affect the format?

You're probably right, but it's not like Dredge has it easy, or is even in the conversation for a DTB. Graveyard hate is stupid powerful.

    Re: [Deck] Vial Goblins

An advantage of Goblin King to consider is that we don't need to fear facing it in a mirror match, goblins.deck being as popular as it is....
I think to get the best out of Piledriver, you...

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

So I've been checking out the new set.
Muldrotha, the Gravetide & Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain are the top picks for me.
Dominaria is a pretty nice set for multiplayer, but it's not great for a...

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

Whether DR works for you or not comes down to what matchups you regularly expect to face, and what hate is prevalent for you.
    For example;
    I always run 2xDR & 1xIona VS Elves & Burn. Locking an...

    Re: Ponder vs Preordain

For me, I think this conversation has a lot more to do with how many shuffle effects you have built into a given deck.

Re: Why isn't Living Wish more common?

I agree completely with the above statement.
But I still wonder why Expedition Map seems to be a more popular choice than Wish, in decks running green....

I think Wish has merit in certain decks....

Checking out some Domaria cards, and none make me think "dredge". There are some interesting casual cards tho.

Why isn't Living Wish more common?

Ok, so this has bugged me for a while.
Why Living Wish isn't a more common card in legacy. Can someone explain why this is the case?

    For example;
Every single time I see someone playing...

    Re: [Primer] Dredge

Not really rational, but given our main strategy is to "therapy" away their counter/hate and beat them down. It's usually effective.
Once they board in, we have heaps of ways to get rid of hate....

Re: Hollow One Controls the Courts

I've been playing around with this deck idea. I like it!! Kudos for the deck idea.

I think you're dead right to pursue these two cards.
They offer a great chance to drop fatties like Hollow One,...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

    Not specifically, no.
If you're keen on FoW I suggest you try out all sorts of side options, see what is useful for you.
I play against a lot of white decks myself, so RiP is expected in these...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

    Congrats on getting the FoW's!
I feel Shadow is one of the better cards in this deck as it enables Dread Return consistently. I always run 4.

I've been playing the blue list for ages, feel free...

Personally I've never played Chancellor VS Grixis, so I can't answer that one as well as some here.
I used to run the card years ago. I kinda feel Amalgam & Chancellor are vying for the same spot....

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

I used to play this green version back before RiP, Cage & DRS got printed. From memory, Hollywood and a few others put a fair bit of time into it.
I can't say that this plan doesn't have merit,...

    Re: [Deck] Dark Depths

    Hi ladies & germs,

I'm getting into this deck - I have almost all the parts, just short a few cards here or there.
I really want to play with DD, it looks fun.
    But I have a few questions;
