    Re: Modern Horizons 2 Previews

Do you even play Manaless Dredge? From this post, it doesn't seem so. If you've actually played and experienced the deck, you'd know that the "engine" doesn't go online until turn 3 with non-Street...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

I love running 4 Hogaak, as they have built in DRs. It's more economical and can pitch to FoV. Since its printing, I've shaved the DR combo down to 2 DR and 2 Gris/Spy with Flayer/Lotleth in the...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

The problem with PA is that it's not really a recurring creature like Ichorid, at least in the same way. PA just comes in because another creature did, while SG can come in on its own with a few CC...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Yeah, Flayer is better against Tabernacle for sure. But, this is where Ichorid shines because of its haste.

Konrad seems really decent against, as mentioned, Elesh Norn. It also protects your...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Renaming bad plays as gambles doesn't change anything here. And, it's not a sound strategy by any means. Good players know that Manaless cannot get off the ground until Ichorid and Narco hit the...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Once Upon A Time does contradict the philosophy of the deck. I like what seems to do for it, though. And, it's just exciting for me to see spoiled cards that might push the deck to be more...

You should know better that writing about the quantity of time with the deck is not an argument... Indirectly calling me a novice and inexperienced isn't healthy for anyone here. Try to keep this...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

No way. Shambling Shell is by far the weakest card in that list. And who Surgicals dredgers?? They should be targeting critters like Ichorid. And going by your dredging numbers, I only cut 2-4...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

I think of the this card as a fake dredger in the opening hands; sure, it doesn't help after the first, but it can improve a hand that already has GGT, which Stink or Thug cannot do.

    I would pull...

    Interesting new spoiled card:

    Once Upon A Time

Digs deep like Stinky to find a dredger or combo piece. Ups the green count for Vigor. It can instant res to even look for Wraith or Macabre.

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

I should have given more context: Prize is bad compared to what Narc and Ichorid do. Prize is decent in the deck that's why I still play it.

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Have you been able to get Hagokk out by t2 at all? Both Hag and Prize are very similarly bad for relying on Narc and Ich to do the heavy lifting. At least Hag can hit the field the turn it's dredged...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

More often CC will do it's job than Unmask; you don't need to test that to see if it works. This deck still wants to dredge more than rely on nontraditional, explosive opening hands. I like sticking...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

I do believe 4 is the correct number.

While the theory of dropping half the combo seems nice, I believe you still need to be able to dump your library to find something like Giant or Flayer to...

    Re: [Deck] Aggro Loam

So, the new Wrenn and Six planeswalker will find a home here. How does this change the deck? Does it change it at all? What do we cut for it? And how many do we run?

Wrenn and LoV seem like a...

So, I lost my whole post that I spent a few hours writing on this deck. That little auto-save notification is false insurance!

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

I still think Giant is better mid-game than Flayer. The damage will be higher with the Giant, and Flayer will need to play catchup using other creatures. Giant also has a better bod.

    Also, you...

Fire off your Street Wraiths sooner than later; better opponents are usually holding their narrow hate for better stuff than dredgers.

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

    CT is a must.

This deck wants to dredge; adding LED or FoW majorly reduces the quality of dredges.

New zombie will replace Shadow in my build. I can't wait.

Horde Mode is cute. DR combo is...

    Re: [Primer] +Manaless Dredge+

Prog is most likely the best choice out of all; it can be pitched for Force of Will. Also, in the acute case that Prog is in play, it cannot be stped or wipe awayed.
