    Re: Esper Mentor

I went to a 45 people tournament this week end and got 13th place with TheArchitect list with minor change in back to basic into zealous persecution

    Re: Esper Mentor

@It is Unfair : Quite interesting evolution from the UW list. I had some problems with it choosing either to play mentor turn 3 or keeping pierce or counterspell up, Therapy is great pickup for erayo...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

It looked like storm cantrip engine. That was pretty cool playing it. Didn't felt low on land. Dig dig dig and create the situation you want

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

In fact i lack experience in mirror. My opponents kept 2-3 terminus (me 0), 1 swords(me 0), and i played mentor with too light backup. The game never went super long against them^^. I think we should...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I'd also consider From the ashes in that kind of slot.
It unallow the float mana and kill the moon/B2B play, but is 1 more mana.

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

For the 1 wear/tear slot MD, if its main purpose is to catch calice of the void, wouldn't engineered explosive be a greater option ?

    @AMlordofthepit, I have another question.

On your previous turn he had 2 cards in hand and you could mentor with force and fluster back up no?

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I'd choose this option too, but didn't you forced the Jace pitching flusterstorm after the snapcaster into brainstorm ?

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

    Hi there,

I just came back from a 60 players tournament. My friend and I played the same 75 and we both went 3W-1D-2L. We were 20th and 21st.

R1 1-2 vs 4C Loam : He got the toss, went Calice...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

In fact i like very much the predict list and i wanted to try something else in that slot for aggroish meta. If majority of control, i'll go for predict, but if i expect elf, punishing blue, death...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I side out all sword because I already have 2 fire/ice and explosives for that purpose. Xantid is their easiest out to a flusterstorm on top with top.

I worked a little on my sideboard plans.

    For reference, the list:

    4 Brainstorm
    4 Sensei's Divining Top
    4 Ponder
    4 Terminus
    4 Swords to Plowshares
    2 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

The only problem i have with stoneforge is it takes 3 sideboard slots and sorcery speed. Althought i really like its resilience to decay and its recursivity.
Actually i'm battling with those 3...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

I'm actually testing a predict miracle (Anzid list). I really like it a lot but my main issue is time. I test it on cockatrice and it's tight on the clock. I often have a winning board state but have...

    Re: [DTB] Miracle Control

Against MUD with miracle, Jace is the key imo. So you need to find land every turn which may be hard cause of chalice at 1 or trinisphere. I also try to keep forces for crucial threat. If i'm on the...

    Re: [DTB] Tempo Thresh

Submerge is really cool, it helps to clean the way for last damage and can be a cool burn if stalker+bob is in play. But when they almost have all their life and that only goose stay on the table, i...

    Re: [DTB] Tempo Thresh

I agree with you. As soon as their loam engine is running, mana denial work is all gone. I often loose to rock/doran rock too. I'm playing a sideboard with 3 submerge+ 3 Mind harness now.
