    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

The point about playing the new tutor is, that you can cut red from the deck allowing you to play more basic lands, which will make you less vulnerable against Wasteland, which is just too good...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

You couldn't have put my experiences with ANT and TES in better words. I'm currently toying around with ANT and this is totally true. I also get the feeling, that I am not even faster with ANT, than...

If you go back to playing Chants/Silence, you might as well just play UBwg again with Ill-Gotten Gains and Infernals.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Don't think so. That's why I stated, I don't feel the need for the Sphere in the deck, either. I'm just gonna cut the Chain of Vapor from your list, put Lab Man into it and go slam some games.

Too many x-2 SCG Opens with Doomsday or why the change to Omnitell?

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

The basic pile is IU, LED, SDT, GP, Lab Man. It costs 1UU to cast both IU and SDT. With a cantrip in hand it can win on the same turn. If you have GP in hand and SDT in play, you can go for LED, IU,...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Yeah, don't really see the need for it either. Though, to have a fifth permanent which draws you into the pile is a nice thing to have. It came up once in my tournament yesterday.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Is the Chain of Vapor really needed? I won several games off lab man pass the turn piles and I'm wondering if it could be included in that list?

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

It's been some time, since I actually played Doomsday in a tournament environment until last week. I ran emidln's lab man list with some changes to the board. The list is freakin smooth. The...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

I don't see, why you absolutely need a Lotus Petal in that list. Most of the time you are setting up double cantrip piles anyway, where you don't need a Lotus Petal. I don't like the Chain of Vapor...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

When Mental Misstep was legal in Legacy, I used to play a straight UB build and board up to ten discard spells postboard against NO RUG and other Misstep decks (4 Duress, 3 Seize, 3 Inquisition). The...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Yeah and there is a reason, why both Nemavera and I decided to run an UBrw variant at GP Amsterdam rather than the german list. Because it is actually a better deck. The only reason to play IGG main...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Just splash white for Chants and play Ideas Unbound instead of Meditate. It'll be awesome. I promise.

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Laboratory Maniac sucks. The card only improves matchups, you are goin to win very likely anyway. On top of that, no one boards their removal out against us, because they have so many dead cards,...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Usually, you simply go off, the turn before your opponent kills you. Turn 3 is reasonable, when goldfishing.

Ideas Unbound enables cheaper piles, that usually create the same amount or a...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Yeah. You are right my bad. But the other one I provided also works. Probe draws Petal. Brainstorm draws Ponder 2x LED. You put back Tundra and Chant. Play LED's crack them for RRRBBB in Response to...

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

He is the eigth Chant in the tempo matchup and really good in the GW Maverick matchup. Due to the fact that Doomsday isn't that fast of a combo deck, GW Maverick is able to play hatebears against us....

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

This is what I would've played in Amsterdam:

    4 Brainstorm
    4 Gitaxian Probe
    4 Preordain
    4 Sensei's Divining Top

    4 Silence
    3 Orim's Chant

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

You could also simply build Meditate, LED, LED, SDT, ToA.

SDT -> Meditate. Draw SDT, LED, LED, SDT. Play both SDT. Still have 4 Mana floating. Sacc both LED's for black Mana. Got 10 Mana floating....

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

Two problems with your post. First, white is included for Orim's Chant in the list posted above and second, if you bring Tempo up as an argument, it doesn't make any sense to play Burning Wish/Ideas...

I'd recommend start playing around with this: http://deckstats.net/deck-828058-1c3058f95416f02466f0bb5f7e6b6aa4-en.html

    Re: [Deck] Fetchland Tendrils

It's funny, that the only thing, which gets me to consider testing that card is the fact, that it counters Mother of Runes. I might give it a shot in the near future, if Wizards doesn't decide to ban...
