    Re: [Information] Two-Man Tournament III - The Lists

    Allright, I'll start ranting. Most of the lists are solid, but I really question that Train Wreck list. Where does this list come from? 61 cards is just a nitpick, but 11 finishers? Seriously? I mean, I don't say it has to be bad. But every list which has placed somewhere, somewhen, has played no more than 5 finishers.
    and unless some clear mistake turns up in the next 24 hours these lists are final.
    For me this falls under "clear mistake".

    Other mistakes:
    Aluren plays 59 cards main.
    Voroshstill - Still 5 Engineered Explosives.
    Team SPOD
    [23:08:50] <@Anusien> You want me to actually test?

    The only guy I still know playing the deck, Jim "Jim" Lampman (he who keeps the dream alive) swears by the list. I'm not sure if anyone has done testing that says otherwise, but I'm pretty sure that Oona + Coffers = Stonecold nuts. Also, Korlash in play + Korlash in hand + Stronghold = Win. I could see dropping the 1-of Helldozer, but that's about it. Jim knows his shit, and I'ma listen to him.

    Well, how else will you open-hand one consistently, silly?

    Fixed (+1 Eternal Witness; VoroshStill list reverted to the one from SCG instead of the one from Format Discussion)

    8 Standstill in the VoroshStill list? Seems like you guys really want to have both EE and Standstill in your opening grip.

    It's really important. Turn 2 Standstill is essential to the archtype.

    Hah, that's what happens when you don't clear the original cells before copy-pasting the new list over. Fixed.

    Meh bad memories with Voroshstill against merfolks. Oh well I am favoring the Voroshstill player in that match for obvious reasons. ;) But two tacosnape-esque decks facing off against each other draconuker vs Dragon Stompy I am favoring draco in that match. ;) Underdogs ftw.

    On the other note I really like your Karach deck Nihil it's pretty hot.

    I'm with Brehn on the Train Wreck decklist, that seems rather sub-optimal.

    Wild Zombies seems like a fun deck to throw around.

    Where's that UGB Thresh list from? I probably would ahve stole something Hatfield-y.

    I love the Train Wreck list. Mucho fun :)

    I'm sad that Truffle Shuffle didn't make it.

    And that Imperial Aluren list could use a lot of work :(

    Thirded. Certainly not a standardized list.

    Hi. That's my list Zach has, and I love it as well, thanks. It's the best version I've ever played of the deck, and it might not be a "standard" list, but when I've been able play in locals since changing to the current list, I've at least made top 2/4. Just give it a chance to grow on you, it's good.

    If you guys aren't done with taking in decklists, you should add more dreadnought decks (with their recent popularity)... I of coarse suggest dreaded fish, and will send Nihil a decklist through PM.

    Seeing that the tournament has been going for about a week now, I really doubt they'll be switching out lists anymore.

    Do you miss having instant speed removal? Like Diabolic Edict or Smother? I love the list, but I hated Chainer's Edict just because of it being a sorcery. I will test your list because it does look amazing.

    Re: [Information] Two-Man Tournament III - The Lists

    Not that you probably care at this point, but I think I have a much better Demon Stompy list.

    // Deck file for Magic Workstation (http://www.magicworkstation.com)

    // Lands
    4 [EX] City of Traitors
    4 [TE] Ancient Tomb
    9 [UNH] Swamp
    1 [PLC] Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
    2 [SOK] Tomb of Urami

    // Creatures
    2 [FUT] Tombstalker
    3 [RAV] Stinkweed Imp
    4 [LRW] Shriekmaw
    4 [LE] Graveborn Muse
    3 [SHM] Dusk Urchins
    3 [LE] Bane of the Living
    4 [ON] Grinning Demon

    // Spells
    4 [MR] Chrome Mox
    4 [DS] Sword of Light and Shadow
    4 [MR] Chalice of the Void
    3 [BOK] Umezawa's Jitte
    2 [LRW] Profane Command

    // Sideboard
    SB: 4 [GP] Leyline of the Void
    SB: 4 [UL] Engineered Plague
    SB: 4 [SOK] Pithing Needle
    SB: 3 [DS] Trinisphere

    Reasons:

    - Trinisphere is a bad maindeck card, especially when you only run two, minimizing your chances of drawing them in your opening hand which is about the only place they're good.

    - Dark Ritual isn't that great of an accelerant in Demon Stompy due to all the double colorless lands you run. It's pretty much mana burn plus a card to get a one black mana acceleration. Plus it has bad synergy with CotV at one.

    - SoLS >> SoFI in this deck. You deal yourself a ton of damage and recurring Shriekmaw and Dusk Urchins is awesome.

    - Priest of Gix is a bad late game topdeck and is barely a threat at 2/1

    - Dusk Urchins >> Phyrexian Rager

    - Bane of the Living is nuts vs. aggro

    Sure as hell sounds like fun.
