Basically I've found that with an eraser you have to really rub for ages, perseverance is a bitch, but will be rewarded :P

Yup, that Brainstorm is hot. Call my crazy, but I really like the look of that Boomerang, with the text box erased but the card type left there.

Any particular kind of eraser you use? Also as far as acetone, are you just gently rubbing the area with a Q-Tip or something?
I use the pink erasers with edges, sec. Dixon Pink Carnation Erasers, that seems to work very well without wearing out quickly. Magic-Rub erasers also work well, but they tend to be a little more expensive and wear out after like a dozen cards.

You have to rub pretty hard and preferably with one of the edges / sides of the eraser to focus the force. Just rub for a while. It should take about 5-10 minutes of rubbing off and on to get most of it off depending on

As for acetone, I find cotton balls / pads to be the best. I just soak them a bit and then rub until one part of the cotton is totally black/dark from ink then I switch sides on it. Pretty simple. Only suggestion is to rub the same way over and over, it leaves less residue and makes the cotton last a little longer.

Haven't tried a q-tip yet since I rub pretty hard when I acetone stuff.

Make sure with the acetone/rubbing method that you don't overdo it with the liquid. If you aren't careful with your edging with tape or whatever you use to block it off, it will run, and cause damage to the borders.

Cool. I'll give it another go. I'll try the eraser again and the acetone for comparison. The eraser I was using was from a cheap ass freebie pencil from a bank or something so maybe that was the problem.

    Thanks guys.

Sheesh, get an ink eraser. Comes off in seconds, but do have to be careful because it can be rougher on the card.

It's possible. But it involves... {checks archives} Nature's Revolt, Opalescence, two Unstable Shapeshifters (one of which started as a Doppelganger), a Tide, an animated land, a creature with Fading, a Silver Wyvern, some way to get a creature into play in response to stuff, some way to get a land into play in response to stuff (a different land from the animated land), and one heck of a Rube Goldberg timing diagram.

That Daze is total shit. Stop posting alterations of cards with bad art to begin with. It might be 1,000 times cooler, but anything times 0 still = 0.
