Alright guys, I have been playing magic for about a year and half. All my shop was big in was standard when I first started playing and the cards were easier to get. But then I decided I wanted to invest in a legacy deck as it will always be there. So I decided on Thresh. I picked it for 2 reasons, it plays blue meaning it should always be good (from what I have read) and it plays Nimble Mongoose. He is my all time favorite creature in the game. So I have most of the deck together and will pick up duals this weekend. I was just wondering if it is a good choice for a newer legacy player like myself and if you have any tips on playing it. Alright thanks. Here is my list btw:
Mainboard:
3 Flooded Strand
3 Polluted Delta
4 Wasteland
4 Tropical Island
4 Volcanic Island
4 Force of Will
1 Rushing River
1 Wipe Away
1 Force Spike
3 Counterspell
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Ponder
4 Brainstorm
4 Spell Snare
4 Daze
4 Stifle
4 Tarmogoyf
4 Nimble Mongoose
Credit to Carl Dillahay. THanks
I believe goobafish wrote a primer for the deck (not the exact list) on a different website. Try PMing him and seeing if he can provide with a link. The primer should give some match-up analysis and some other tips to playing the deck.
Alright thanks.
Hey!
The primer is located here: http://magic.tcgplayer.com/db/article.asp?ID=7977
It is a little outdated, the Ichorid matchup is much better than I previously thought, and 4 Tormod's Crypts have been added to the board to help against Ichorid and Loam.
If you have anymore questions feel free to send me a message or ask in the UGr Threshold thread.
