It seems that you have a pretty well developed meta Spankme, and that any deck you choose will have its good matchups and its bad matchups present. That said, if you want to crush blue I would probably run zoo. In the sideboard I would probably run some good grave hate (3 relic, 2 crypt) and some chokes/ vexing shushers and hope for the best against combo.
Well, there isnt that much combo in my meta. My list shows mostly played on left to least played on right - therefore one TES, one ANT (me actually or someone playing my ANT), 2 dredges... And thats it for combo.

My suggestion here would be to run 18 Basic Mountain Burn. Price of Progress looks bomb in that metagame. Post board, you can board in Shushers and other things to deal with Counterbalance and other things.
You also have cards like Flamebreak at your disposal to deal with Merfolk and some Zoo threats as well.

I dont think burn is a great idea. There are two different builds played and both of them are extremely weak each time. I actually faced both and comboed uder the fire. My only two wins on whole tournament, both times.
Zoo might be interesting, since last tournament was won by extended Zoo version with duals from legacy only.
Any other thoughts?

My local store has a ridiculous metagame:
3 Ad Nauseum Combo
2 43 lands
2 Dragon Stompy
1 Iona Reanimator
1 Faerie / Standstill deck
Various uncompetitive / Janky decks
There is no Zoo at all. The only copies of counterbalance I've seen at the store are the ones I own.
I can play almost any legacy deck imaginable (except Survival, Tombstalker, City of Traitors based decks.)
Thanks for the help.
Maybe something like Moon Thresh would be good in this meta. The deck is a bit dated, but having Blood Moon is a complete house against 43 Lands and Thresh has good combo match ups. Or maybe a Rock/Agro Loam build with discard or Chalice respectively to battle combo, and one could work Blood Moon into the board of either of those decks it they built the MD basic heavy with that plan in mind. The Rock and Agro Loam additionally tend to have good Dragon Stompy match ups, because they dodge Dragon Stompy's hate plan, both decks are sort of mid range and avoid the hate from Chalices and Trinispheres. W/E you decide on I'd definitely run heavy on Fetches and Basics with Dragon Stompy and 43 Land as meta concerns.

I'm just getting in to Legacy. I'm a past player of various formats. Most of my tournaments have been T1 but also a fair amount of urza/masques T2 and Extended at the same time. I'm really liking the Legacy format but I sold my entire collection.
I'm going to be working with a friend who has a full set of duals and 1 set of goyfs in addition to most of the older playables (force and some other nice stuff)
I know I'll have to buy some cards and will probably start with duals and whatever I need to complete my deck. I'm really not sure what to play and I'd like my first deck to be something competetive but inexpensive (meaning I'd like to avoid goyfs for the time being if I can)
I've been thinking about U/W/b landstill as I'd pretty much only need to buy elspeth and a couple board cards but I'm not sure if there's a better choice for a completely unknown meta.
I really like the idea of some sort of Loam deck but I don't have access to Tabernacle or Goyfe so I think that kinda pushes me away from Loam for the time being, right?
I typically like control although I'm comfortable with combo and aggro-control as well. I couldn't see myself playing something truely aggro.
Any suggestions??
Thanks!
It looks like I'm buying cards now. I've almost got a set of goyfs and I'm buying mox diamonds as well.
I also got a little bit of meta info.
It looks like I'll be playing against a fair amount of aggro and aggro/control (zoo, golbins, burn, etc) not too much combo.
I'm thinking maybe 43 lands or a variant if I can get a tabernacle.
What do you guys think?
Thanks!

Curious what you guys would recommend for a metagame that consists mainly of Dredge, Merfolk, and control (Ug/w)?
So legacy coming up at my home shop and i cant decide what to play.
There will be for sure
Landstill, Stax, Goblins, Dreadstill, Ichorid, Goyf Sligh, Eva Green, Merfolk and then jank decks.
Available I have Supreme Blue (but no goyfs), Stax, Landstill or Ichorid.
So the million dollar question is, What do I play?
expecting to face multiple zoo decks, a bit of dredge, burn and thresh. What would you guys recommend?
I think my playtest partner will be playing that, actually. So I guess the field will likely include 1 enchantress
Any other opinions?
An aggressive strategy like Zoo, AggroLoam or Boros, with a good sideboard against Dredge.
Zoo with Pridemage and some Krosan Grips maindeck.Originally Posted by baghdadbob

My metagame usually consists of 1 dreadstill deck, 1 merfolk deck, 1 mono-red burn deck, 1R/w goblins deck, 1 pox deck, 2 dredge decks, 2 badly made tempo thresh decks, and an EVA green deck. Currently, I have been borrowing a solidarity deck, and it has been a blast to play! However, I seem to auto-lose to 3 of the decks that show up regularly, and that makes me take regular trips to frown town.
Any help for dominating this metagame would be appreciated!
Also, I apologize if my grammar/capitalization sucks; I had to post this from my phone because my computer was down.
Today's Metagame was:
2 Zoo
3 Combo (NLS, Dream Halls, Solidarity(not sure about this)
1 Survival (Bant)
1 Merfolk
1 Aggro Loam
I think Supreme Blue could do well here?
The last tournament featured:
5 Zoo
2 Merfolk
2 CounterTop variants
2 Survival variants
2 ANT
2 Goblins
1 Reanimator
1 Dragon Stompy
1 Leyline + Helm
1 UR Painter
1 Faeries
1 MonoBlack control
1 AggroLoam
1 Intuion/Demigod]
1 Ichorid
Is there a perfect metagame choice that I'm missing?
