Hey All,
Gosh, it seems funny to hear everyone so excited about getting their Underground Seas for $30-40 each... I got all of mine at $2.45 a pack
... and yes, I am that damn old
Take it easy,
Jared

Damn, I was going to reminisce too but my playset for $40 doesn't seem so hot now...
I also bought 4 English Chain Lightning for $2 at the same time. Almost dropped like $20 on a playset of Spinal Villians then because my buddy was giving me fits with his Mahamoti Djinn/Clone/Vesuvan Doppelganger deck.
I just landed my set today, so no more complaints from me (the OP).
Of course, I paid through the nose compared to most of you guys.
When I started playing magic back in 1993 I was 13 and the dual lands were not as cool as my favorite card at the time...Thicket Basilisk
But with the rise in popularity of older formats all the duals have been on a rise I say any purchased now would be a great investment.
I know my team was lucky enough to win a set of Seas about a year and a half ago. Thank you, 4C thresh running Wee Dragnauts with 4 wasteland, 8 fetches, 6 permanent mana sources FTW.
Slightly OT, but... It's generally more cost efficient to buy a complete playset of 40 duals at once. I just bought a playset on ebay a couple weeks ago for a smidge over $1000. They're in really nice condition, too. I'm pretty sure it would have cost me $1200 or so to acquire them 4 at a time.

Team Info-Ninja: Shhh... We don't exist.
I got FBB ones for 90 a few years ago, and then upgraded two to Beta a little later. Seems good. Still, I wish I had BB Volcs, since I used to. I was 6 non-blue duals away from a set of 40 FBB's. Stupid Beta trades...
Underground Sea is often played a lot in Vintage for the fact it is the key to a speedy vantage. In this format, it falls to second or third place or fifth for overall played Dual.
Deckcheck.net lists it as the second-most played dual in legacy, after Tropical Island.
I just got 4 seas, 4 trops, 4 plateau, 2 tundra, 2 savannah and 2 italian mana drains for $400 cash off craigslist.
The duals are in vf-ex condition, actually a lot better than what I'm used to playing with, and the mana drains are nm-ex. I'm going to keep the duals and sell off the drains. They seem to go for around $75 each on ebay from what I can tell.
So I would say Craigslist is a good resource for getting old cards at less than ebay prices.
