So when is a large tournament coming to the NW again? I would be cool to do something big around December sometime.

Anton posted this on NW magic:

    2nd Box of Zendikar
    3rd-4th 1 Blue Dual
5th-8th draft from the vault exiled (random determination for order)

This sounds like a lot of fun, great prize support. 2 weeks from now, would be awesome if people from Portland went, count me in if anyone is driving. - Lenny

The Mirkwood tournament seems awesome, but would be way too much driving for me (230+ miles, ~ 4 hours, each way).

Today, I'll be at the 3 pm Legacy tournament at Other Worlds. Anyone else coming?

For sure. I'll be around in December. I know a car of four went to Mirkwood today from Portland.

Dude, now I want to go. The only thing is I don't have 3 of the 4 Misty Rainforests I need and I am broke. Does anyone have some for trade or to borrow?

I'm going ghetto on the U/G fetches too -- so you won't be alone. :)

Most online stores are selling them ~$20 and I can't justify putting out $70-$80 for a set right now.

I pulled a U/R one out of a pack at the prerelease last week and that's it.

I don't have my old fetches though! I already sold them and sent them away to pay for the Rainforests :/. I have pulled a Misty and a Scalded Tarn in 12 packs so I can trade for another. Do you have 2 Wooded Foothills to lend?

After my dog chomped on my Bant CT deck, I've been a bit tourney-shy, which is sorta like being pee-shy, I guess.

Edit. That analogy isn't apt. Mainly, I don't feel like dropping bit of dough on a replacement Goyf. Are there any decks that don't play Tarmogyf? ;)

<- Plays Goyf + CT in Landstill.

Just use three? Ugh, I take that back. I don't really know. Try Landstill without it?

I'm going to try making it this weekend, but I also think it would still be awesome to get a bigger tourney organized for later in December. Ideas?

Obviously, Merfolk awaits you. Or you could try something less established but still very, very solid such as Walkers.dec or the Italo-German UBR Tempo Stalker/Blossom/Sprite list. Reanimator is also lots of fun the first time you play it (then it becomes boring and/or gets hated out).

I'd be in. We need a place and some prizes. I could probably chip in for prizes.

I really like that UBR Blossom list. Also, Reaminator wants to be playable. It really wants to be playable.

    4 Swords to Plowshares
    3 Engineered Explosives
    1 Vedalken Shackles
    3 Wrath of God

    4 Spell Snare
    4 Counterspell
    4 Force of Will

    3 Intuition
    1 Life from the Loam
    2 Fact or Fiction

    3 Vendilion Clique
    4 Brainstorm

    1 Windswept Heath
    3 Polluted Delta
    4 Flooded Strand
    3 Tundra
    2 Tropical Island
    1 Underground Sea
    1 Academy Ruins
    1 Wasteland
    2 Lonely Sandbar
    3 Mishra's Factory
    3 Island
    1 Plains

    sideboard:

    1 Exile into Darkness
    1 Tormod's Crypt
    3 Krosan Grip
    3 Deep Analysis
    3 Ethersworn Canonist
    4 Porphyry Nodes

The maindeck Wraths sort of suck and I want to cut them for something less expensive that still punishes the linear aggro decks, but I dunno what yet.
    When in doubt, mumble.

    When in trouble, delegate.

Wouldn't that deck be better with Tarmogoyf?
