Brainstorm
Force of Will
Lion's Eye Diamond
Counterbalance
Sensei's Divining Top
Tarmogoyf
Phyrexian Dreadnaught
Goblin Lackey
Standstill
Natural Order
Why? It's a miserable uninteractive deck that isn't the least bit interesting game one.
You'd probably just run planeswalkers. I always sideboarded the Hierarchs. Matt Abold's list here is closer to what I ran at the time.
Man I remember bugging the shit out of him on the phone during that top 8 too, holy shit that was obnoxious.
Although I remember from my foray last year into BUGStill thinking that the Obstinate Baloths out of the board were amazing in probably 50% of my matchups and arguably maindeckable. Fantastic against all the RUG and BUG decks. Nuts to your Liliana.
For my confessions, they burned me with fire/
And found I was for endurance made
A top 8 with half delvers, blue is the best beatdown ... yay color pie!
While I understand the meta-humor going on here, I also don't like the dismissal of requests for bans. While the meta should be given time to adapt, I've had time to quit for a year or two, come back, and find Delver is still oppressive.
I feel a some legacy cards can be unbanned, yet the stay on the list.
I wonder if you can prove to us, a la Caleb ( by providing a 60 card deck list), that the below are worth to stay banned in Legacy:
black vise
Mind twist
Mind's desire
Yawgmoth's bargain
Let's avoid generic statements and focus on the deck lists.
Mind Twist will most likely be completely broken a burning wish deck. That's at least, what I'd build for it.
Mind's Desire and Yawgmoths Bargain should never come off. The thing about Minds Desire is that, legacy doesn't have a restricted list, which means that you can play 4 of them. That means you can desire into desire, which means you actually get to play your entire deck, as soon as you go off.
