There are plenty of decent hotels in the Charlotte area. I'd strongly recommend using Priceline to find a good deal somewhere. :)

Are the constructed rounds for a box standard or Legacy?

We can do either; if eight players want to play single-elimination Legacy for a box, we're more than happy to run it. :D

Depending on work and finances, I may be down. I could use a decent road trip.

Road trips are definitely a good time. Just make sure you get good directions, ofc.

How many people are expected to show up at these Legacy 5K's, this one in particular? Sorry if that's an unanswerable question.

Can't go, its on the East Coast again.

But if I was able to go, I wouldn't even participate in it anyways. I would be there mainly to provide media in the form of video for youtube (I have put my blog on hold for now, and opted it for more game coverage since it seems to be doing well).

Besides, even if I did participate, I wouldn't make it past round 3. The lack of support on this side of the coast is too great.

I assume there is going to be around 300-500 showing up for that event. If more than 1k of players show up, I'd be impressed.

As we haven't ever run a Legacy $5K before, we've no basis for comparison. I know that New England has a very strong Legacy community, though, so I'm very optimistic. :)

If there is a Connecticut crew going down there I might try and tag along if my teammates don't feel like going.

15 hour trip = wayyyy too far from Montreal.

Good luck to all who attend.
