I did sir, I did. Last tournament I did with TES I faced, off 6 swiss-round, 2 CB-based decks, 2 Dragon Stompy, 1 sort of Tempo threshold with Spellstutters and Standstill (and a fucking singleton misdirection in sb which of course he drew and with which he misdirected my Chant), and ..well..a Zoo. I think i'm the most unlucky TES player on the face of this planet. I think I'll take a plane and come to play it in your tourneys :D
That's simply a case of the metagame, which, if knowing I'd face something like that, I'd just rip Ichorid out and win the tournament. Bad luck on your part, I suppose. The northeast has really taken off with a surge of aggro decks over the past few months, most namely tribal and zoo. Because they have favorable matchups over Counterbalance decks a lot of people are abandoning that strategy in favor of either other aggro decks or slower control decks like Landstill. This in particular makes storm combo an incredibly good deck to play in the northeastern metagame, and would at least attribute to Bryant's recent success.
And shame on those Dragon Stompy players for playing that deck in the first place. God forbid, it's a terrible deck.
I've finally decided on a sideboard, with some help from Di.
SB:1 Diminishing Returns
SB:1 Ill-Gotten Gains
SB:1 Tendrils of Agony
SB:1 Empty the Warrens
SB:1 Grapeshot
SB:1 Duress (Di runs an infernal here)
SB:1 Echoing Truth (Di runs a Shattering Spree)
SB:2 Shattering Spree
SB:2 Deathmark
SB:3 Pyroblast
I wanted to make a sideboard less reliant on Mystical Tutor since it's weak as a 2x. Krosan Grip and Hurkyls left because of this. I kept Truth over Hurkyls because it's more versatile, it also leaves us an out against enchantments.
I re-built my sb last weekend for the Phili 5k and its pretty similar to yours....
sb: 1 tendrils of agony
sb: 2 deathmark
sb: 1 empty the warrens
sb: 2 shattering spree
sb: 1 grapeshot
sb: 1 krosan grip
sb: 1 infernal tutor
sb: 1 diminishing returns
sb: 1 duress
sb: 1 ill-gotten gains
sb: 3 pyroblast
I still have 1 chain of vapor maindeck as well as a 3rd mystical tutor as I'm not running SSG so I don't need a echoing truth in the board.
That 15th slot in Bryant's board should be a Krosan Grip, i'm assuming he just ironically forgot to list it, despite discussing it below.
It isn't my sideboard, so he can shape it however he wants. He isn't nearly as fond of the sideboard Infernal Tutor as I am, but I'm almost positive his last slot was a Krosan Grip. Maybe it was the Infernal Tutor, but I don't recall him keeping it in the board.
Wow. I didn't even realize. I guess it's between Infernal and Grip. I'm thinking Tutor over Grip. Grip is rarely used nowadays.
I went 5-3 today in Phili losing to 3 countertop decks (all pretty close matches) and beating dreadstill, elves, next level storm (probally the most interesting game 3 i've ever played...i had to get storm up over 20), zoo, and cephalid breakfast.
Ideally what we need is a "Swiss Army Knife" of a spell which allows us to deal with problematic enchantments and artifacts:
2
Sorcery (Obviously)
Return all artifacts and Enchantments to their owners hands.
I also often find that the deck, although very quick to go off with the inclusion of SSG's, has a hard time w/ enchantment based hate (e.i: Runed Halo) especially since it does not run Chain of Vapor MD anymore. It shouldn't be of too much concern considering that Teeg, Canonist's and Chalices make up the preferred combo hate.

Another thing which came to my attention is number of hands that have to be mulliganed due to 2x Chrome Mox. Maybe we can cut one of them to re-include Chain of Vapor. At least that way, we have an out to MD Teegs that and other random stuff which prevent us from winning.
This became a very apparent issue during the tourney I participated in this past Saturday. I had to mull quite a few time due to moxen ruining the fun. In fact the only time I ever wanted to see them, is off Ad Nauseam.
