    Mono-Green Treefolk for Multiplayer

Since all my friends are not competitive and only want to play multi-player games, I've decided to create one myself. Here's the list:

    4 Treefolk Harbringer
    4 Bosk Bannerret
    4 Leaf-Crown Elder
    4 Timber Protector
    3 Dauntless Dourbark
    2 Woodfall Primus
    2 Wickerbough Elder
    2 Orchard Warden
    2 Verdeloth the Ancient
    2 Sapling of Colfenor

    4 Lignify

    3 Rootgrapple

    24 Forest

    4 Sheltering Ancient
    3 Battlewand Oak
    3 Cloudcrown Oak
    3 Gaea's Avenger
    2 Wickerbough Elder

This build was heavily inspired by Bennie Smith's Speedier Treefolk deck. His main goal was to win through card advantage. I took it one step back and one small step forward. I added consistency with creatures that I felt created more card advantage. Plus, I added creatures that gain life to offset the slow tempo I may have.

While I would love to use Doran, the Seige Tower in this deck, he's too expensive to invest in at this moment. When I do, I plan on using him alongside Unstoppable Ash (maybe), Murmuring Bosk and a bunch of dual lands. That way, I don't have to worry about Dauntless Dourbark not being big enough.

My sideboard choices are pretty sub-par, but I want to use them because of the convenience of synergy. Sheltering Ancient and Battlewand Oak is for fast aggro decks. Cloudcrown Oak for flyers, obviously. Gaea's Avenger and Wickerbough Elder for artifact hate.

Keep in mind this deck is made for multi-player. I know I get raped by combo, aggro, and control. I'll live with that. I just want to be fun, yet consistent in groups. This is slow and big enough to do it, I think.

    Deck update:

    4 Treefolk Harbringer
    4 Bosk Bannerret
    4 Timber Protector
3 Leaf-Crown Elder (I want to keep this at 4, but time will tell)
    3 Heartwood Storyteller
    3 Dauntless Dourbark
    2 Woodfall Primus
    2 Wickerbough Elder
    2 Orchard Warden
2 Unstoppable Ash (I'm experimenting with this guy. Plus, he keeps my curve in check.)

    4 Lignify

    3 Rootgrapple

    24 Forest

    4 Battlewand Oak
    4 Cloudcrown Oak
3 Tilling Treefolk(?) (helps against land destruction)
    3 Gaea's Avenger
    1 Wickerbough Elder

    Re: Mono-Green Treefolk for Multiplayer

Interesting list. I have a casual multiplayer Treefolk travesty that is lots of fun, but can loose horribly due to lack of crowd control.

    4 Llanowar Elves
    4 Fyndhorn elves
    4 TF Harbinger
    4 Bosk Banneret
    4 Dauntless Dourbark
    4 Wickerbough Elder
    2 Leaf Crowned Elder
    2 Timber Protector
    2 Summoner's Pact
    2 Natural Order
    4 Gift of the Gargantuan
    1 Woodfall Primus
    1 Verdant Force
    1 Progenitus
    21 Forest

The addition of mana elves enables the redonkulous curve and actually makes the deck pretty fast. I already had the 2 Natrual Orders (all I own) in the build before someone shoved a Progenitus under my nose and told me it was required for my deck, so I threw in old Verdant Force as well. If you lack the Natural Orders, you can always drop the one ofs and go to 4 Summoner's Pact - I was using them (N. O.'s) primarily to fetch out the Timber Protector's originally.
You can't kill my Zombies - they're already dead!
    Shoes for Industry!
Reality is for people who can't deal with Middle Earth.
Too much is never enough - I'm addicted to MORE!!!

But you can easily build a "Doran Ready" Treefolk deck.

Here is a ... very expensive list i play from time to time.

    // Lands
    4 Windswept Heath
    4 Verdant Catacombs
    4 Forest
    3 Savannah
    3 Bayou
    1 Plains
    1 Murmuring Bosk
    1 Volrath's Stronghold

    // Creatures
    4 Birds of Paradise
    4 Treefolk Harbinger
    4 Bosk Banneret
    4 Leaf-Crowned Elder
    3 Timber Protector
    4 Doran, the Siege Tower
    3 Heartwood Storyteller

    // Spells
    3 Sensei's Divining Top
2 Sword of Light and Shadow
    4 Swords to Plowshares
    4 Maelstrom Pulse

    // Sideboard
SB: 3 [ALA] Relic of Progenitus
    SB: 4 [8E] Choke
    SB: 3 [LRW] Gaddock Teeg
    SB: 3 [TSP] Krosan Grip
    SB: 2 [LRW] Thorntooth Witch
You can change the duals around for more Murmuring Bosk ( you can fetch them with the Treefolk Harbinger ) and Doran costs 2€ here. So it shouldn't be a big problem at all.

If you are not a friend of the Storyteller, just reploace him with Dauntless Dourbark.

And def. play 4 Leaf-Crowned Elder and Mirri's Guile / SDT / Silvian Library. Its just way to good.

    Super Necro!

Here's my multiplayer Treefolk deck. It's for times when a real Legacy deck isn't appropriate, but I still want to play somewhat competitively.

    4 Treefolk Harbinger
    4 Bosk Banneret
    4 Dungrove Elder
    1 Doran, the Siege Tower
    4 Leaf-Crowned Elder
    4 Dauntless Dourbark
    4 Timber Protector
    1 Verdeloth, the Ancient

    1 Lignify
    1 Nameless Inversion
    1 Crib Swap
    1 Reach of Branches
    1 Rootgrapple

    3 Birds of Paradise
    3 Green Sun's Zenith
    3 Mirri's Guile

    4 Murmuring Bosk
    1 Dryad Arbor
X fetchlands (The only expensive cards; adjust for your local kitchen table)
    16 - X Forest

Feel free to mix and match the removal spells. 4 Green Sun's Zenith and 2 Birds of Paradise would also be fine. It's 61 cards, but it's a Kitchen Table deck. It could use a second Doran, but the casting cost is tricky without Fetchlands. Six or seven fetchlands is similar in cost to most of the rest of the deck, but if your kitchen table doesn't mind, add a stack of them and make room for another Doran or two.
