I remember seeing a list of creatures that became obsolete because of the printing of Tarmogoyf but I can't find it. I'm trying to make a wallpaper/signature with that topic. Anyone wanna help? Thanks in advance
Grizzly Bears really got reamed when Goyf came out.
The list used to matter more, but now there are stuff like the new Lords, Bloodghast, Qasali Pridemage, Wild Nacatl. Almost every creature currently played is Extended legal, but most spells currently played are not. There's just been a huge creature power leap and Goyf was out front.
The stuff everyone said:
Nantuko Shade, Terravore, Wild Mongrel, Flesh Reaver (and the other suicide creatures), Arcbound Ravager, Summon Goblin....
Don't forget stuff like Ravenous Baloth, Loxodon Heirarch and FTK (can make a little comeback).

Those lists lack Spiritmonger.
If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, it's probably delicious.

I agree with Forbiddian. Who cares about these lists? We can't blame goyf on creatures becoming invalidated as much as we can on the power creep of creatures in general in the last few years and the broad shifts in the format in the last couple years. There is no way to really validate what caused what in this scenario.
Oh yes we can. Werebear, Flametongue Kavu, Loxodon Hierarch and Ravenous Baloth couldn't care less if that creature in front of them is 3/3 or 2/3 for but they do care if the creature for is 4/5
Edit: Now that's obviously not true for all creatures that became invalidated since the printing of Goyf, but for all of them that acually saw play in more than one deck.
Morphling
Got tired of Legacy and you like drafts? Try my Paupercube What?
See, that is exactly what I'm talking about. Goyf didn't kill Morphling as much as the shift towards aggro-control and away from control decks like MUC did.
"Goyf caused said shift"
Lots of things caused said shifts, and blaming an entire metagame shift resulting in years and years of differences on ONE card is just not very rational.
Pretty much every creature that WAS awesome now sucks, carnophage, pump knights, juzam, ernham, mahamoti, pretty much every creature printed before 2005 is utterly irrelevant now... so sad, I use to love me my Mahamoti Djinn's

You know it turned really bad when Cephalid Breakfast started using Goyfs in the MD as a man plan. Then almost every new control deck started splashing for Goyf. The reason? Why the hell not.
Thanks for all the input guys!
Now, would there be a top 10 for 'who got shafted the most by the Goyf'?
I would imagine Werebear, Quirion Dryad and Psychatog being here, right?
Just from the top of my mind. I might have missed some.
1. Werebear
2. Psychatog
3. Serra Avenger
4. Wild Mongrel
5. Loxodon Hierarch, Ravenous Baloth
6. Knights, Goblin Legionnaire, Watchwolf, Putrid Leech (basically any 2-drop with a main purpose of attacking)
7. Wall of Roots/ Blossoms
8. Phyrexian Negator, Plague Sliver (basically any cheap fattie with drawback, because why not just play the creature without drawback?)
9. Quagnoth (never saw much play to begin with, but that's just because of Goyf)
10. Quirion Dryad (was never that good to begin with, but Goyf is better even in the narrow situations where it would be good)
I still say - to this day - pump-knights are underrated and far from obsolete.
That's about as far from the truth as it gets. I can't even begin to list the (very) playable cards that existed before then....pretty much every creature printed before 2005 is utterly irrelevant now...
I believe this list would look like this:
1. Psychoatog (Hulk strategies tried to incorporate Goyf and then Goyf just took Hulk's spot. Why use a creature that makes Goyf smaller when you can just use more cantrips to dig for goyf?)
2. Wild Mongrel
3. Werebear
4. Jotun Grunt
5. Quirion Dryad
6. Silver Knight (And then any other guy people would play just because it was immune to goblins and burn)
7. Morphling
8. Carnophage
9. Phyrexian Negator
10. Burning-Tree Shaman
