a) * * * * 3 mana. No other cards needed. Quite a bargain for the ultimate shutter-downer of Legacy.
b) * * Magus is a vulnerable dude. The only reason that he does not have one * is because he tends to shut down the opponent's mana base, making it harder for them to remove him. If, however, the opponent has a Plains in play, or his playing burn, Magus's 2 toughness becomes a joke, and he is likely to get removed within a turn of him hitting play.
c) * * * Magus does not win the game on his own. Sure, he can beat for 2 a turn for a 10 turn clock, but that is not his purpose. Magus shuts down an opponent long enough for you to get your own deck up and running in lockdown mode (See Stax) or in beatdown mode (See Dragon Stompy).

It’s always satisfying to watch decks with shitty landbases get smoked by a bloodmoon on a stick. I can’t wait till wotc smartens up and gives a new layout to this guy with shroud, huar huar huar!

Here are my scariest/funnest creatures to face off with...

1. The dreaded 2/2 zombie token... ah the number of times that I've merely needed to survive just one more turn to totally hate out the dredger, only to be overrun by zombies during his/her turn.

2. Grim Lavamancer. Crazy sumbitch shock on a stick, whoever designed this card was evil, and awesome.

3. Magus of the Moon. This guy has single handedly prevented me from participating in way too many games.

4. Rhox War Monk. When I see this guy land on turn two, I realize this game just got a little more complicated.

5. Phyrexian Dreadnought/Marit Lage/Progenitus/whatever other fatty people are cheating into play way too early for their own good.

Honorable Mentions: Mother of Runes, Terravore/Countryside Crusher/Knight of the Reliquary, Bob (because I know that the longer I take to off the measly 2/1, the worse and worse my prospects become).

p.s. If you're not afraid of emrakul, you've yet to have it show & tell'd into play against you.
