Anyone know of any events in the NE Florida or SE Georgia area? This area is stagnant except for the occasional drafts and Standard FNM's.

Where exactly is this? I've been unable to find anything located near me in VA/MD so far.

Edit: Gah I should have paid more attention, never mind.

how many people usually show up?.. I usually go to battleforge games but I'm thinking of coming every so often if the attendance is good (sorta a long drive for me).

We finally got a Legacy scene coming up in another place at Houston!

The new store is Asgardgames (www.asgardgames.net). They mainly play T2, Limited and Block, but we've got 5 Legacy players gathered. Hope we can get more coming to start a tourney soon. If anyone in Houston is interested, check it out!

    City: DeKalb, Illinois

When: Every Wednesday Night at 6 (though if you plan on attending, check the calendar on the site above, since every other month there is an Extended tournament)

Overall a pretty good experience, and it is located in an area of the NIU campus that is surrounded by restaurants, so finding food isn't hard.

    Re: Weekly 1.5 tournaments - Where's yours?

Two main places I'm aware of for Minnesota Legacy is at Dreamers in St. Louis Park, and Monster's Den in Minneapolis.

Monster's Den has legacy every Thursday night starting at 7 PM, $5 to play - normally 15-20 players.

Dreamer's has their events on Saturday afternoon starting at 1 PM. Not sure what their crowd is like.

Website is http://dreamersgames.com for both stores. About once a month they have a 'big' Legacy tournament with a higher entry fee and much bigger prizes. Last one I went to was 6 rounds of swiss - so a pretty sizable crowd.

There's also a store in Maplewood called 'LAN World' (lan gaming center and ccgs apparently) that is also doing thursday night legacy, starting at 6 PM. Website is lanworldgaming.com. Plan on trying them out this week, so I'll report back. It looks like Magic isn't their main focus so I'm not anticipating as cool a crowd as the den - but maybe I'll be surprised.

    Website is http://www.lanworldgaming.com

    UPDATE:

LAN World apparently starts at 5:30 on Thursdays despite their website stating 6 PM. Entry fee is $5. First Place $20, Second Place $10, Third and Fourth each get a pack. Smaller group of players, 10-12 on average.

Given that I actually work for a living - I won't be checking them out this Thursday, but figured I'd pass along the information for anyone who might be interested.

    Re: Weekly 1.5 tournaments - Where's yours?

Starting this week, we are trying to get weekly Legacy events started in Waco. There is a small group in Austin and Dallas, so we're hoping they come play in these events as well, since we are right between the two.

    Location:

    The Game Closet
    3122 Franklin Ave
    Waco, TX 76710
    254-751-7251
    www.thegamecloset.com
    www.jdsevents.com
(details listed on both of those sites)

    Entry fee $10

Everyone gets a pack for playing and we will give away no less than a box of boosters as prize support. For every player byond 12, we add 3 booster packs to the prize pool.

Hey, so, I recently came to college in the Needham, MA area (outside of boston), and can't seem to find a local store with legacy tournaments. I've looked through the thread, and there's alot of MA ones, but I dunno if any of them still are active. Preferably 30- min from Needham. Any suggestions?

The closest one i could think of going west is TJ's in milford (just over 30 mins theoreticaly), havent been there in forever, and their site doesnt list any legacy events.
Past that, you'd be going to worcester, where both the Wednesday one at OverTheEdge and the Sunday one at That's E are going strong.

I dont know what options there are east of you... dont go that way.
