If anyone wants to meet me at YMG in Somerville for some serious playtesting give me a PM. =)
I'm going to be heading out to the tournament tonight at the Gamer's Guild in the Clifton Country mall but I may be a little late. How late do you guys get started usually?
Gamer's Guild has been closed for some time. Try Science & Hobby in Rensellaer/East Greenbush, I think they have Friday night Legacy, if they get enough people to show up.Originally Posted by awesomeawesome
Check this thread and this post for details, I guess.

Science & Hobby doesn't run Legacy tournements anymore due to the lack of people showing up. I will say this now and you all can shut up about it until someone does something.Originally Posted by Drathro
LEGACY TOURNEMENTS IN ALBANY ARE NO MORE.

3 Guys in Glens Falls, Dammit. It's the closest thing we have right now.
Well that is lame. Why isn't there any Legacy at Zombie Planet or something?
The big reason why there isn't really any regular tourneys is turnout.Originally Posted by awesomeawesome
Most of the people that went to CCM didn't actually live in Albany, they lived in Saratoga County, Warren County and around there. Most of the people that play Magic in Albany County are dumbass Type 2'rs that rather play that and have never heard of Legacy.

Anyone know of any 1.5 activity in New Jersey?
"Whatever happens, happens."
Any body know of tournaments in the Tri-state area? Any players in the tri-state area AKA CT NYC NJ, Maybe we could see if there are enough players for a tournament willing to all gather in one place for some great prizes? Eh what do you say, any takers?
Is there any real Legacy action around the Baltimore area?
This summer I'm working in either Boston, NYC, Philly, or DC. Anyone live in those areas and know if there are tournamens or anything?
Hey Wuv Muffin, come to Woosta and play at my store.
Now playing real formats.
I second that notion!Originally Posted by bane_of_the_living
Now rocking a job at Off the Wall Games!!

We still have weekly tournaments in Annandale, VA, which is just south of D.C.
Phantom, if you have a car, try heading down here. Mad Zur and I come up from Fredericksburg every week, which is about the same distance away as Baltimore is(close to an hour's drive).
I'm sure it's in the thread somewhere already, but the tournaments are at:
The Lucky Frog
7229 Little River Tpke
Annandale, VA 22003
703-354-8018
Tournaments cost $5 to enter, with collected entry fees converted to store credit and given out as the prize.
Turnout has been low lately, hovering around 10, but at least the level of competition is respectable, and you can always get some decent playtesting in. Also, there's a Fuddrucker's within walking distance.
Is there a bus from Boston? Even if I'm not there this summer, I'll be there for the next 3-4 years for grad school. Wouldn't mind playing with some real players for a change. It's actually Newton Centre, not Boston, but same thing really. Suggestions?Originally Posted by bane_of_the_living
Heres an idea. While your in Grad school or after lets open a store in MA. Its pretty easy, just need to rent a building and get it set for tournies.
Now playing real formats.
Technically, the commuter rail runs into downtown Wormtown. But that only runs during the week. As far as getting you here Sunday, I've got no idea if there are T trains then. There is a Greyhound terminal though, so if you're super-dedicated, you could make it that-a-way.Originally Posted by Lego_Army_Man

Seriously, I'd be up for trying to get something started. I don't know how serious you are about this, but even just booking a room at a local YMCA weekly or something would be fine with me :)
Lemme know if you need a hand. We've been working at getting something going at YMG, and starting to build up a small crowd. As for a store, grin, I don't have the card base for that :-P, but I'll help as needed.Originally Posted by Lego_Army_Man
