    Re: Rafiq of the Many

I posted a new Aggro Deck list, please help me to make the Deck more agressive and powerful (atm I search for a Jitte to replace the Bonesplitter).

    Thank you very much...

    Re: Rafiq of the Many

You have a lot of cards that I think are either suboptimal or that I just don't quite think are very good in EDH.

Exalted Angel really feels like it should be Battlegrace Angel, it works more in line with what you want the deck to be doing which is attacking with one creature. I don't think you'll be choosing Exalted Angel as the 1 creature attacking much nor do I think you want to be doing much blocking with it. Battlegrace makes Rafiq a lifelinker and pumps as well.

Serra Avenger. I don't think it has a place in any EDH deck. You should be doing cooler things by turn 3 and a 3/3 flying vigilant guy is pretty terrible in this format.

Isamaru is pretty bad unless he's a general. A cheaper bear is pretty insignificant in EDH.

You're not playing the two best Wrath effects in the format. Austere Command and Hallowed Burial. Burial does something with generals and stops graveyard recursive decks from getting creatures back and Command gives you options. Options are good.

I'm not a huge fan of Brainstorm in EDH. It's a 1 of that only digs through a very insignificant portion of the deck for what you want. I'd much rather play Sylvan Library in this spot for the kind of card advantage you're looking for. Obviously Jace 2.0 is preferable to that even but library is a budget suggestion. I feel the same about Ponder, doesn't do enough.

Bounce effects. They suck unless they are evacuation style. In 1 vs 1 maybe a bit better but you said it was multiplayer built and 1 for 1s that dont do more aren't worth it in my opinion. If you're adamant about them at least play Venser, as it also acts a sometimes.

I'm not really seeing any targets that make defense of the Heart and Pattern of Rebirth worth running. Seems unfocused to me.

I never found Stoic Angel to be good enough and my version of Rafiq is very exalted. I guess if theres a lot of token swarm decks in the meta this would be a solid call. I rarely found that most other players were attacking with more than 1 creature most of the time either. So I don't think this is a bad choice but just something for you to think about when evaluating it.

Anurid Brushhopper. I don't know why you're playing this card. I don't see any cute interactions with it and a 3/4 beater is less of a road bump than its worth in EDH.

Other than that a few suggestions that I would make are to find a Noble Heirarch. It's so much better than Birds and it's acceleration. Play Sovereigns of Lost Alara and Eldrazi Conscription. It's amazing. Other good enachantments to run are Steel of the Godhead, Shield of the Oversoul and Mythic Proportions. Also a Loxodon Warhammer and Whispersilk Cloak would be pretty good additions.

You are very very short on Loxodon Warhammers. You can run two (the one from ARB), I would do so. The problem with Rafiq is that they can just chump block all day.

I'm also a big fan of the guys that hit and do something cool: Scroll Thief, Ohran Viper, Augury Adept, Cold-Eyed Selkie, Cephalid Constable, things like that. Also run Sword of Fire and Ice, Warhammer, Behemoth Sledge.

I would also look into Eldrazi Monument (beats Wrath) and Akroma's Memorial (flight and evasion).

I disagree with Monument, there's not enough creatures to sac in this type of deck. I do love me some Ophidian effects though.

    Forest

Plan A is to get Rafiq out and bash. Usually getting as many quick kills as possible with Might of Oaks or by Slapping down Sovereigns for a Conscription.

Plan B is to draw some cards and play control until you get a nice board situation for you to use Rafiq to kill your biggest threats and take total control of the game.

Plan C is to have fun with Mistmeadow Witch until you move onto Plan B or someone gets sick of your shit and kills you.

    Re: Rafiq of the Many

I'm looking to make the following changes over time to my real life deck with changes I've made and been happy with on MODO as I come across foils:

    -
    Akroma, Angel of Wrath
    Cephalid Constable
    Cataclysm
    Murkfiend Liege
    Rhox War Monk
    Behemoth Sledge

    +
    Mystic Snake
    Venser, Shaper Savant
    Voidslime
    Crystal Shard
    Serra Ascendant
    Riding the Dilu Horse

Akroma doesn't do as much as I'd like her to do, it's a fine creature and probably the toughest cut

Constable sucks late game usually, early game it puts a target on your head even when it sits there not being any good, which is often

Cataclysm doesn't help me when I'm behind and that's more of what I need. Plus the additions I'm making to the deck will help where Catacylsm does in keeping me ahead. Plus LD sucks.

I'm always bummed when I draw the Liege, I like the pump but it never seems to get there as a pump. This also isn't Seedborn Muse as much as I want it to be.

Rhox War Monk is fine but I think Ascendant fills the role better most times and can lead to blow outs.

Behemoth Sledge is good but not great. Riding the Dilu Horse does what I want and can happen the same turn as other pumps where sometimes 6 mana is too much.

Mystic Snake/Venser/Voidslime overall I wanted more counter magic. Voidslime acting as part stifle gives it the nod over some other options and I really wanted creatures I could grab with Eladamri's Call that could protect me at the moment. Venser gives me more range in that it might be useful to bounce problem cards and is useful when I go nuts with Witch.

Crystal Shard is such a good card. With Snake/Venser/Slime/Titan/Witness/Mulldrifter/Mangara and occasionally Gilded Drake it's very good. It also helps me protect my guys from removal.

Got a foil Sword of Vengeance so I put that in over Riding the Dilu Horse, I think it might just be better.

Added a Nature's Lore over Rampant Growth since it can put duals into play untapped.

Cut Isamaru and put in Serra Ascendant.

Also find something to cut for Eldrazi Conscription so when Sovereigns hits the table you kill someone.

nice idea, Serra Ascendant is now part of the deck.

question: Do you think that i should play more mana boost cards like harrow or sakura tribe elder? sometimes it feels like 38 lands are not enough...

I wouldn't ever run Harrow in my meta, people play counterspells. I would definitely play Sakura. Cards like Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Explosive Vegetation, Rampant Growth, Nature's Lore or Three Visits are better than Harrow and good in EDH.

    Re: Rafiq of the Many

I'm looking at these changes with Scars:

Venser, The Sojourner for Felidar Sovereign

Felidar is a nice card but it's not necessary, it's 2nd ability never manages to matter and Venser is sick with the way I've built my deck. The 2nd ability is the best for Venser which is the worst to most people in most situations.

Grafted Exoskeleton for Sword of Vengeance

I haven't been impressed with sword yet and Grafted Exoskeleton is insane with Rafiq. any two power or higher creature unblocked with Rafiq in play is a kill. I Also like any equip that means instant death on Rafiq. This is like my 3rd Might of Oaks/Conscription for an unblocked Rafiq. I'm even thinking of adding Stoneforge Mystic just to get this thing another way.
