Just talked to whienot, he is 4-1-1 playing Dragon Stompy.

Apparently the field is just full of Zoo, Gobbos, CB bullshit, and Lands!. It seems like there are a LOT of people playing the horrid Intiution Lands! lists and Meloku is being run in some of the builds. Seems awful but, I guess if ur playing against Zoo and Gobbos all day its alright.

Well, if that's the meta, Bryant should be well on the way to day 2.

Yeah, seems like a spectacular field for DDFT. I talked to thor an hour or so ago and he said the top tables are littered with CB bullshit. Not so hot for TES.

Cook is 5-1. Woohoo. The TES dream continues.

Alix Hatfield is 6-0. What's he playing?

Was hoping CB would be weeded out a little by the Gobs and Zoo. Hope he gets sort of lucky, I dodged unnatural amounts of CB in Madrid, too. He is running TES, isn't he? Not DDFT or something?

I don't think Cook would ever cast a Doomsday :) I don't think there is any way he isn't playing TES. But one of the trial winners was a DDFT list and looked solid except he was lacking a crucial Wipe Away in the main.

Okay, I was just confused by your post. Didn't think he'd run anything other than TES.

Weird how silent the Source is during the GP.

Bryant Cook, Gearbear, Tommy Kolowith, Rich Shay, Wafo-Tapa, GerryT, Steve Sadin, Chris Woltereck and Brian Kowal are all 5-1
Saito, Chapin, ELI, and Alix Hatifield all 6-0
    LSV is 5-0-1

Most of those people probably had some number of Byes though
Still looking for FBB Lightning Bolts. German or Korean is preferred. PM me if you have them

With only 17 players at 18 points (Blue standings) the field is certainly narrowing. Unfortunately for Alix and Eli, they're in the same strand (blue) as Chapin and Saito. Cook, on the other hand, is in the other strand (green).

Chapin and Saito are both in the green strand. Though I wouldn't be at all worried about Chapin.

Weird... but hey, seems to work.

Lol wut? Okay, his deck probably scoops to TES, but Chapin has a damn powerful deck and is one of the best players in the world. Don't get cocky. Even for Cook, I wouldn't ever call a player like Chapin something 'not to worry about'.

Just got my first loss to burn of all things. That puts him through to day 2. I'm currently 5-1-1.

So, to anyone not still in the tourney, can you record the top 8 (Top 4 of each bracket) or so tables with names and decklists so we can get a feel for what is going on.

He just lost game 1 to a pretty terrible zoo draw
