Hi guys,
Just brainstorming here. Throughout the history of Magic, what were the famous Mono-White Control-controlish decks that were utilized.
Some of the things that come in mind:
- Mighty Quinn - Snow land+Scrying sheet w/ toolbox elements (Legacy's version of MWC)
- Armageddon Staxx - lockdown deck that runs primarily on white.
- Parfait - Land Tax+Scroll Rack draw engine.
- Life.dec - gain aburb amount of life
- Crazy 88 - defunct Type 1.5 deck that used token producers+Skullclamp to gain card advantage
- Rabid Wombat (MWC based on cantrips)
- Sandipoise - Sands of Time+Equipoise lockdown combo
The reason for this is I'm trying to craft a MWC EDH deck. Im trying to encorporate most of the MWC strategies into a single deck and see if it will work.
There was also Angel Dust which was basically, Blinding angel and Archangel raced out then it geddon'd you.
Some of the Death and Taxes decks were very controllish and not so much the white rush style. Some played Glowriders and other pay more effects to kill your mana.
I run a mono-W EDH deck anyway, here's a link. You might get some ideas since it's pretty controllish.

Here's a famous standard MWC, although it almost always splashed a color: Martyr Proclamation. I found a decklist thanks to emidln's new deckcheck replacement (thanks!):
