    Handcuffs (Mono-white control)

This deck focuses around stalling the opponent through orim's chant, silence, and abeyance. It is designed to be quick, with a first turn play of isochron scepter (equipped with these stall cards). Playing a (nearly) full set of orim's chant, silence, and abeyance allows the deck to play these from hand until it's ready to equip one of them to the secpter. The other cheap instants can also be attached to the scepter in certain circumstances. It wins by milling the opponent either through the painter/grindstone combo or the scepter/chant combo.

The deck was originally posted under Mighty Quinn, but its core mechanics warrant a separate classification. It plays fewer enchantments, doesn't rely on creatures to win, and replaces the snow-covered engine with ancient tomb.

    I diiiiig.

This can absolutely shut down so many archetypes.

I do think you need to up your land count though. With 4 swords and 2 path, you can afford to go to 2 wraths and 1 humility no problem. Add plains!

Also, you should post some testing info about on what turn do you average getting septer-chant live after a lot of trials. That is, which of your opponents turns can you start chanting them.

This deck already exists. It goes by the name "The Mighty Quinn". It's a very strong, and underplayed deck.

Edit sorry: I just read that thread and saw that you posted there already, and decided to make your own thread because you dislike the inclusion of Top and Sheets and prefer more E. Tutors, Ancient Tomb, Scepter, Silence and Scroll Rack.

It does rely on creatures to win: Painter servant.

    Humility + Servant =No-bo

    Hey laxkiddan,

I used to run a deck like this in as my Legacy attempt for Parfait. I found that running hatebears as your primary win con is more effective. Jotun Grunt should be one of them. They will be keeping your Chants in your deck if you can't imprint them.

Ethersworn Canonist and Aven Mindcensor are good too in slowing your opponents down. There's a newly spoiled cards in MBS called Phyrexian Revoker, it's essentially a Pithing Needle on legs. That should be good as well.

I would run Tithe to feed your hand as for late game, Scroll Rack with an empty hand sucks balls.

If you can incorporate Agrivian Find, that would be good to recover destroyed pieces such as Rack and Scepter.

    Good luck with your build!

    Sorry but this is false.

The Legacy community has been over this. Please check the Humility Thread.
I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums

    since M10:

    Layer 1 - Copy Effects
Layer 2 - Control Changing Effects
Layer 3 - Text Changing Effects (note 612.3 - Effects that add or remove abilities don't change the text of the objects they affect)
Layer 4 - Type Changing Effects
Layer 5 - Color Changing Effects <-Painter servant
Layer 6 - Ability Adding and Ability Removing Effects <-humility
    Layer 7 - Power/Toughness (with various sub-layers)

If there hasn't been a major rule change since M10 servant still changes colour under humility as his ability is in an earlier layer(5).

Apologies, next time I'll check the layer rules before saying absurdities.

    Re: Handcuffs (Mono-white control)

    @Xiang,
I like the deck. Ideally with the Handcuffs deck you can silence/chant so that the other player can't put in creatures (so you don't need brittle effigy). I would probably play moats if it weren't for the $$$. I think that story circle is better than rune of protection:red because it's more robust. I have the leylines in the SB to protect against being targeted. Putting Eslpeth in the deck wouldn't be a terrible idea either.

Also, thanks for explaining the humility/painter rule. I had read that they worked together, but i wasn't entirely sure how it played out.
