Sylvan Library
So, if I were to replace the additional draws from Sylvan Library with Dredge (Life from the Loam) or effects from Onslaught Words cards (Words of Wilding), do I still have to pay 4 life for each draw replacement?Originally Posted by Sylvan Library's Oracle Text

The answer is actually no, you do not have to pay for replaced draws, but it WILL check for other cards you have drawn this turn, and attempt to have you put those back
You actually only have to choose on cards actually drawn this turn. If you drew only one card that turn, you only can choose to put it back or pay 4. If you infact replace all of the draws with some other effect, such as abundance, you do NOT have to pay life, as you never drew the cards.
This article examines such interactions more in depth: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazin...com/daily/as45, which seems to contradict what the above poster has repliedIf you choose to draw two cards, then replace one or more of those draws with some other effect, the rest of Sylvan Library's ability still happens. If you've actually drawn only one card that turn, you must choose that card and either pay 4 life or put it on top of your library. If you haven't actually drawn any cards that turn, the rest of the ability has no effect.

Even though none of the answers given is straight wrong, I think they are quite confusing.
Please read this thread:

Edit:
You do not have to pay life for draws you replaced, but if you drew (one) two or more cards this turn, you have to chose (one) two of those and pay life or put them back.
Short: If you draw two cards and dredge once you have to pay two times 4 life to keep the cards drawn. If you used words of wilding 3 times, you don't pay any life.
