would you mind explaining what you mean by this?

Game 3 I get a sick read on him with Mindbreak Trap, I think that it is 4 spells and play right into it. He forgets to cast it on my Ad Nauseam, I then Silence him and he flashes me the Trap and tells me he should've cast it on my Ad Nauseam after I had Tendrils-ed him for 22.

    You thought or did he?

    Congrats
I though it was only playable after 4 spells, I was wrong, but it isn't matter since he just straight forgot to use it. Also, about the lucky draws, why is it when a combo deck does what it is supposed to do, they got lucky draws?

    mostly this

Game 3 I went Dark Ritual, LED, LED, Infernal, and got Forced, but because he mulled to 6 and had to cast Force, he couldn't DDD, so we played draw go for 4 turns until I went Dark Ritual, LED, LED, Infernal again. Love this deck!

but force in dredge, that is quite the tech

Pff, why else play unfair decks then?

Also, Vintage Ichorid has ran FOW Sideboards for many years now.

theres a small difference between killing them Turn 1 and in 1 turn. Only unfair if you kill them turn 1.
Pretty sure this is a legacy event but I guess he didn't get the memo.

Thanks for the beard compliment! (-your round 4 dredge opponent)

Upon reflection I should have let the Infernal Tutor resolve and Forced the Ad Nauseam (or any other spell) that was sure to follow. I didn't even realize this until halfway through the following round. I hadn't mulled to six that game, but couldn't discard on end step because Force takes an extra card out of my hand. That was still an awesome game, Grats on top 4!

I thought you did mull to 6.

And if you hadn't Forced there, I would've guessed that you had it, since you kept a slower hand and gone for Empty.

I mulled game two to get a force, but game three I clearly remember thinking to myself "if he doesn't go off turn one, I'll have my discard step to toss Troll. I he hits it turn one, at least I have a force and hopefully his hand will be gone."

I like your list a lot better than my previous list. Diminishing Returns didn't work out so well for you on the weekend, but I'm assuming you'd keep it and how has your previous experience with it been?

Diminishing Returns is a fucing crap shoot. No way that I can get rid of it. There have been times I have won so hard off of it, and times where I just wiff and give my opponent the nuts.

Did you end up Top 32ing?

I was thinking the same thing about it in my deck. I have to have it in the board, and even though its a gamble to cast, its a gamble that has the chance to bail me out of a losing situation and therefore seems necessary. I was fortunate to not have to cast it at all this tournament, though if I would have been mulling more aggressively on the games I lost I may have found it useful.
