Turd geyser!!
I think the biggest thing is the deep seeded emotional understanding that the right play is the right play regardless of outcomes. The ability to make a decision 5 straight times, lose 5 times because of it, and still make it the 6th time if it's the right play. - Jon Finkel

Homelands was not only one of the worst sets ever, but it had some of the worst art too:
Hippie Rosanne:
O-face:
And these two menacing figures:

You've found some hilarious stuff, I think you're winning this thread. Joven looks like he just came back from a Fall Out Boy concert or something.
Look at my bubble of butterflies.
Joven is actually the portrait of a tattoo artist Mr. Shuler met somewhere.
YOU'RE GIVING ME A TIME MACHINE IN ORDER TO TREAT MY SLEEP DISORDER.
Bubbling Beebles seems dumb yet nice.
Does anyone know the story behind the Homelands edition? I've never noticed before, but behind Joven is "Snarg's House of Sin". That may be one of the strangest things I've ever seen on a magic card.
Dont no if its really dumb, but its stupid and flavourless and bad: Rocket Launcher
If this does not count, take the card in my signature
I'm pretty sure Raphael from The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is firing that Rocket Launcher, so it can't be THAT dumb.
Sharding Sphinx had me laughing my juvenile ass off the first time I saw it. Just for the name though.
Some art is just bad:
But a special few make you really stare and wonder:
Nothing like the blows of some unbelievers...
This looks like the first attempt to make magic look like yugioh (long before anybody knew yugioh) Frog Tongue.
Personally, i like this cute little guy:
Gilder Bairn
he looks so innocent and peaceful.
You guy's make me feel bad, I actually like Phil Foglio's artwork. It added a fun flavor to Magic of the early days. I still wish they had him on-board.
Oh my god, how did I forget about Thaumaturgist?!?! We used to lol so hard at that card back in the day. The same guy did Ertai's Familiar, which is almost as bad.
Honestly, it's like cell shading meets paint-by-numbers.
I've also always hated this art:

There's more than one Foglio and she has equally strange style: trade caravan.
I actually like the art posted in this thread MUCH MORE than the soul-less computerized shit that is put on cards today. See current Jace for example. Then again, my 2 favorite arts are Stasis and Antiquities Triskelion, so I'm likely the minority.
