My last article before GP Providence, including a look at key decks from Bazaar of Moxen V and the Louisville SCG Legacy Open.
Good luck to everyone on The Source at the GP!

All these articles about what is the "smart" thing to play due to the expected metagame is such crap. In Legacy, playing what you know, and trying to innovate to beat the hate is a much more logical strategy. Knowledge is power, and if you just pick up a deck, you will make a lot of mistakes. I'm personally a huge fan of the stick with what you know game plan for major events.
I think that Star City kind of screwed you and Drew today. You both wrote a nice article to give brief overviews for what is "good". The problem is that there are two of them today. It makes people with premium not want to read both. I did and agree with both of you to an extent. I also think that it's a little late for a reasonable person to be looking to swap decks. They'd have to learn the intricacies of a deck in three days. That's a terrible plan. I guess if you're going to be in the area for something else and just want to drop in it's great. It feels closer to the right timing for the SC Invitational than the GP. It gives time to get comfortable(ish) with your deck before the big event.
BTW - Blood Moon is coming back from me. Either that or choke main if I play Enchantress. You both forgot the deck. Loses hard to storm combo, but if the plan is to attack with guys it just beats them and has a stable mana base.
Whenever I see a kid in a wheelchair it makes me a little sad. Because I always think, "Gee, they could have used those same wheels to make a bike for a regular kid. What a waste."
My intent was to help people make informed decisions with regard to deck and sideboard composition. That's why I tried to specifically highlight certain emerging trends like Bob, Stoneforge, Hymn, and Standstill. I wasn't advocating for people to stop what they've planned and swap decks, although I am sure some people will.
