    Spellskite

How do you say it? Is it "Spells-kite" or "Spell-skeet"?

    Thanks.
I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums

    Re: Spellskite

I'm not sure if you are 'subtly' trolling or not. =) Just in case:

    skite1 Scot
    vb
    1. (intr) to slide or slip, as on ice
    2. (tr) to strike with a sharp or glancing blow
    n
    1. an instance of sliding or slipping
    2. a sharp or glancing blow

It fits the flavor of the card. It is pronounced "s-kite" (as from your example).

As to the other pronunciation, this is almost obligatory: Skeet ("SPeeeeellll Skeet skeet skeet skeet..." has a certain ring to it). The Urban Dictionary definition.

I don't know about you, but I'm going with "sky" (kite) rather than "ski" (skeet) on this one.

This reminds me of a guy I know who always pronounced Erratic Explosion as "Erotic explosion."

    peace,
