    Re: [Deck] Natural Order RUG

    Interested in this deck again

    Here's my list I'm playtesting right now. Don't really know what the right numbers are for anything. Leovold should probably be a 1 of, and I should probably add a birds of paradise or a noble hierarch in that slot.

    3 Tarmogoyf
    3 Vendilion Clique
    1 Dryad Arbor
    1 Scavenging Ooze
    1 Reclamation Sage
    4 Deathrite Shaman
    2 Leovold, Emissary of Trest

    // 1 Enchantment
    1 Sylvan Library

    // 16 Instant
    3 Daze
    4 Force of Will
    4 Brainstorm
    3 Fatal Push
    2 Abrupt Decay

    // 18 Land
    4 Misty Rainforest
    4 Tropical Island
    1 Island
    1 Forest
    3 Underground Sea
    4 Polluted Delta
    1 Verdant Catacombs

    // 1 Planeswalker
    1 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

    // 9 Sorcery
    3 Green Sun's Zenith
    4 Natural Order
    2 Ponder

    // 15 Sideboard

    Is it just me or did you forget to put a big fattie in your main 60?

    Progenitus incoming . . . although it is weaker than ever with all these Edicts flying around in everybodies SB and even main.

    He can always split the risk and include a Worldspine Wurm. And add a Dryad Arbor or 2 as fetchable NO-food/Edict-counter. Should run more green fetches in that case though. Catacombs over Deltas. You'll have a harder time getting an actual Island, but a much easier time powering out Dryad Arbor.

    Re: [Deck] Natural Order RUG

    Y'all are right, but I did play 62(by accident) today (prog as 62)

    anyways, here's what i would change after going 3-1 (the last opponent conceded, we played some game 1's tho) tonight.

    Don't know if I want 3 clique and 1 hierarch. I definitely want to find room for clique #3 (maybe relegating jace to the sideboard?)

    Beat 4 color weirdness, lost to elves (in 2 incredibly close games that I lost at 0 life to 1), beat infect (2-1), played some games against UWR delver (hard matchup. 8 removal spells 2-3 lavamancer).

    Leovold is amazing and literally everything I'd ever want out of a card in this deck. I had 3 daze instead of 2 spell pierce and ponder, and was actually at 62 cards tonight because sylvan library was in here too.

    I also prefer double arbor (regardless of color scheme), fantastic when grinding, which this iterartion of order is all about (hence spell pierce over daze, which I will be testing tomorrow). Leovold turn 3 is always better than order turn 3 (even with countermagic). The leovold inclusion also means were are less weak to mana denial (a-la rishadan port and wasteland) as well as to edict effects, spot removal, etc etc.

    Thoughts on sideboard would be great. I don't usually play BUG color schemes, so any suggestions on sideboard would be swell.

    Honestly wouldn't mind going up to 62 if it means I get the 3rd clique, though the curve might be a little suspect at that point.

    Part of me thinks if you're gonna play Order you should just play deathblade. You get stoneforge mystic and wasteland, which is big. That being said we do have a good deathblade matchup (they can't beat resolved prog, and combo was never deathblades strong MU)

    // 61 Maindeck
    // 17 Creature
    3 Tarmogoyf
    2 Vendilion Clique
    2 Dryad Arbor
    1 Scavenging Ooze
    4 Deathrite Shaman
    2 Leovold, Emissary of Trest
    2 Noble Hierarch
    1 Progenitus

    // 15 Instant
    4 Force of Will
    4 Brainstorm
    3 Fatal Push
    2 Abrupt Decay
    2 Spell Pierce

    // 18 Land
    4 Misty Rainforest
    3 Tropical Island
    1 Bayou
    1 Island
    1 Forest
    3 Underground Sea
    1 Polluted Delta
    4 Verdant Catacombs

    // 1 Planeswalker
    1 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

    // 10 Sorcery
    3 Green Sun's Zenith
    4 Natural Order
    3 Ponder

    // 15 Sideboard
    // 4 Artifact
    SB: 1 Relic of Progenitus
    SB: 2 Pithing Needle
    SB: 1 Umezawa's Jitte

    // 7 Instant
    SB: 2 Flusterstorm
    SB: 1 Surgical Extraction
    SB: 3 Golgari Charm
    SB: 2 Invasive Surgery

    // 1 Planeswalker
    SB: 1 Jace, the Mind Sculptor

    // 2 Sorcery
    SB: 2 Thoughtseize

    Considering a sideboard melira for infect.

    Re: [Deck] Natural Order RUG

    I like the more tempo style play with wasteland and such because it gives a very different angle of attack and I also just can't stand when my opponent plays a non basic land that I can't interact with. Two arbor seems pretty bad tome, but again I like this deck on a different Play style. I tried an Eli Kassis shardless style this past week. Got dumpstered a quick 0-2. Kind of hated it. I hate Shardless Agent

    Re: [Deck] Natural Order RUG

    A new NO RUG list floating around on MTGO:

    3 Gilded Goose
    2 Noble Hierarch
    1 Snapcaster Mage
    1 Scavenging Ooze
    3 Ice-Fang Coatl
    1 Tireless Tracker
    1 Arasta of the Endless Web

    4 Oko, Thief of Crowns

    4 Brainstorm
    3 Ponder
    4 Force of Will
    1 Spell Pierce
    4 Lightning Bolt
    2 Green Sun's Zenith

    2 Arcum's Astrolabe
    1 Sylvan Library

    3 Natural Order
    1 Progenitus

    1 Dryad Arbor
    4 Misty Rainforest
    4 Scalding Tarn
    1 Prismatic Vista
    3 Snow-Covered Island
    2 Snow-Covered Forest
    2 Tropical Island
    2 Volcanic Island

    Seems pretty interesting. Ark4n11 has been streaming the deck today, it looks pretty decent, but I think some of the numbers might be a little sub-optimal.

    I kind of feel like maybe 4 Oko is too much. Also, not sure about one Snapcaster. As with most mid-range RUG decks, you are a little weak to fast combo decks.

    Re: [Deck] Natural Order RUG

    I think Uro can be a pretty good addition to this deck as well.
    It's an interesting decision what to make the splash colour because the core of the deck is just UGx
    Whether you want to play Bolt/Plow/Decay etc or whether you want some other G/x creature (Leovold, Teeg) could make the deck a good meta-call without changing the main build of the deck much.
    I guess there is already the Sultai Zenith deck that is relatively popular so it depends whether you want to add NO to that.

    Re: [Deck] Natural Order RUG

    Ignoble Hierarch makes me want to brew up...

    [Deck] Natural Order RGB

    4 Ignoble Hierarch
    4 GSZ
    1 Dryad Arbor
    1 Eternal Witness
    10 Various Utility Green/Multicolor Creatures
    4 Natural Order
    2 Progenitus

    4 Thoughtseize
    4 Lightning Bolt
    6 Other Utility Spells

    Perhaps Cabal Therapy and Veteran Explorer are worth exploring in such a shell.
