[Article] Exploring Green Sun’s Zenith in Legacy

Exploring Green Sun’s Zenith in Legacy

Mark Hinsz explores some uncharted opportunities Green Sun’s Zenith has in Legacy, pointing out silver bullets and worthy considerations for GSZ targets.

I think he's right in not wanting to GSZ for anything over 3CMC and I think the cards he points out are definitely worth keeping in mind.

    Thoughts?

Indeed boring as hell. Explored grounds summarized.

P.S. I had to smile as he mentioned Great Sable Stag.

    LOL @ Ichneumon Druid

Everything else is common knowledge however. Will the next article explore uses for Lightning Bolt?

We used to play a single Ichy Druid in RGSA way back in the day. Heinously overpriced hate bear.

And then someone discovered Pyrostatic Pillar

    You just made my day!
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

I bought a playset when Gro started to get big in Vintage, before it became Tog. I'm pretty sure I gave them to Jaco to get rid of for me, but I had a minty playset for at least a decade.
