I finally did the Chrome Mox trick! Even better, I did it to Mike Caffrey in the last round of swiss to make top 8!

Goblin Hero is a hero, Bryant. Silly Split Second cards. As we discussed, I should probably play a real combo deck, not Imperial.

Awesome report! My favorite part is in the semi finals game 3, when you ponderd into the win.

    Needs more Grozoth.

Grozoth was also conspicuously absent from your article about the importance of teams.

I would generally agree but I was the Junk player he played it against and it was very 'techy': It widdled my life down by 2-3 per turn and I can see in a match where against Reanimator that plays Urborg it would hurt more.

Plus with a Sterling out where I can't Vindicate it, could be bad.

Nice report. Was it Ponder you played at the end of our match? I thought it Brainstorm? I guess it really doesn't matter. I actually wrote a report in the Goblin thread I just wanted to be accurate. I did a horrible job on it lol.

I was just playing around. It was me that played the Karma vs you. I would have like to see how are you would have went, but at the end I drew all lands vs you.

As always another excellent report. I especially enjoyed your account of the showboat.

Hi Bryan! Great report, enjoyed the read. But I'm kind of confused on the Chrome mox trick? Can you explain how that particular stack works? I don't really play Storm much and I would appreciate the explanation?

And possibly the deck list for the Robert Greene with UWR Painter? :D

    1. Play LED.
    2. Play Chrome Mox.
    3. Imprint triggers goes on the stack.
    4. In response to that trigger: play Ad Nauseam.
    5. In response to Ad Nauseam: crack LED.

    1. You get 3 mana (and empty hand) from LED.
    2. You resolve Ad Nauseam with that +3 mana in pool.
    3. Imprint trigger of Chrome Mox resolves.

It is a great play because it let's you imprint new cards you get from Ad Nauseam and not "waste" Chrome Mox only for +1 storm. We know that sometimes that +1 mana means victory. I remember the first time I did the trick I had to explain it three times to my merfolk opponent.

P.S. Do not take shortcuts with this play because many players will think that you try to imprint Ad Nauseam to Chrome Mox X_X

Unfortunately, Jupiter was only streaming video, not recording it. I don't believe there was any recorded coverage. If there's some out there that someone has or knows where it is, I would like it for the T.E.S thread.
