so, here's a little bit of a challenge, at the same time i want to brainstorm some strategies here. keep in mind that this is strictly casual, and meant for the lulz, while still having a functioning deck.
i'm a sucker for budget decks (half because i can't afford to play most tier one decks, and half because the more decks i can run simultaneously the better), and i've been trying to build the budget-est of budget decks there is. so here's the challenge:
i'm a huge fan of cardkingdom.com (i know, right?) and they have a metric ton of cards that no one ever plays for a quarter. so help me out, and build the best deck you can, only using cards (from any rarity, any set, anything at all) that cost 25 cents (in mint condition). if you stick to this rule, you'll have a deck that costs fifteen dollars! (before tax and shipping)

Antham is the cheapest Crusade effect, and can bring creatures back. Some Life gain from Soul Warden/Attendant and several creatures that the opponent has to pay mana to kill (unfortuantly Knight of the Holy Nimbus was too expensive). Also Soltari Trooper to have an almost unblockable attacker.
Since he should be a $0.25c card the new Loyal Cathar // Unhallowed Cathar from DA would go in once the new set is out.

Had fun building that, might actually just build it when I have money haha. I was surprised at how cheap certain things were, or that Welkin Hawk even existed. I was more surprised though at how some cards, like.. Lieutenant Kirtar is over a dollar and Mimeomancer is 25 cents O.o.. Along with soul catcher's aerie and another soul catcher card being quite expensive relative to other things.

A good deck for $15 exactly (acc. to Cardkingdom). Frankly, Cardkingdom is expensive. Bidwicket.com will generally give you better prices, particularly if you shop in bulk and know how to group things for shipping costs. I built a better version of this deck, with a better land-base, Shriekmaw, Street Wraith, and the 3rd Living End, for $13 using Bidwicket and Ebay (shipping included) a few months ago.

I used to play a casual Ninja deck a few years ago, and according to the site it's posted to, it's worth 71 SKR sans the basic lands, which is about $11. Here's the list I used to play:

The interaction between Thalakos Seer and Ninja of the Deep Hours is really the heart of the deck. The Seer is all but unblockable, and every time it leaves play from being ninja'd, you get to draw a card. It's insane, really. The equipment package is there for flavour, and I think Shadow Rift is not at all that good unless you expect to run into a lot of creatures, but it turns Higure unblockable for a turn and it cantrips, so it's all good. It can all be cut for some more effective removal spells (like Doom Blade or Smother), and I don't think I'd leave out at least 2 Walker of Secret Ways if I were to re-build the deck today.
In any case, the list above fits the criteria, it's super fun to play for at least a while, and Ninjas are awesome
I agree that Card Kingdom prices are a bit high but it is still a fun challange.

in regards to cardkingdom, I know the prices a little high, bu they seem to have the most consistency in their products. I don't want to derail the thread, it's just a preference.
