    Insectile Aberration

Whats its converted mana cost? Is it 1 (Delver of Secrets) or 0?
I am convinced that WotC is "dumbing" the game because of all the stupid posts they come across on MTG-related forums

It's 0 - flipped cards, like just about everything else, have the converted manacost of what you can see in the upper right hand corner of the card (exceptions: clones because they copy stuff and thereby change their manacost to a new value, future shifted cards -upper left hand - and split cards - both "upper right hand" corners). No mana-symbols means cmc = 0.

If its mana cost is 0, is it still a blue permanent?

Flip-Cards do have "dots" in front of their "Creature/Enchantment/etc"-line. This defines the color.

Insectile Aberration do have a blue "dot"

You may want to take a look at the rules for double-faced cards.

The back side of double-faced cards have a color indicator to the left of the type line that defines their color. Insectile Aberration's indicator is blue.
“It's possible. But it involves... {checks archives} Nature's Revolt, Opalescence, two Unstable Shapeshifters (one of which started as a Doppelganger), a Tide, an animated land, a creature with Fading, a Silver Wyvern, some way to get a creature into play in response to stuff, some way to get a land into play in response to stuff (a different land from the animated land), and one heck of a Rube Goldberg timing diagram.
