Seconded re: Exalted Angel. I'm not entirely certain that it isn't still playable in Legacy; turn one MoR, turn two face-down creature is a surprisingly good play against a lot of decks that just want to punch, and as anybody playing Delver will tell you flyers are just so good right now. Batterskull is arguably easier to protect, but Exalted is a full turn faster and Mother of Runes doesn't work with Batterskull as well as she does with Exalted.

Well if it's not 1-10, Counterbalance has to be 11, right?

Nitpick: It's "Elo", not "ELO"; the system is named after its designer.

Having spent time on the League of Legends forums, this is not a fucking nitpick.
    It's basic knowledge.
I refuse to accept Grapeshot not being #1 though.

I was kind of surprised you don't own the japanese foil versions of some of these cards. I guess that could take away from the nostalgia, though.

Have you ever Skullclamped an Etched Oracle, put damage on the stack and then sacrificed it to draw a card?

Reroute was Skittles playable JUST to steal their Etched Oracle draw.

God, I actually sided that guy in against Landstill because they could never beat it going long.

Sweet, another person whose favorite cars is Exalted Angel. Definitely the card I enjoyed playing most and also that I have the fondest memories of- I started playing competitively around the time it was released and even though the decks I played for the first year or so were absolutely terrible I still won a decent number of games on the back of the glorious angel.

I played Angel Control for over a year straight for a reason, I dominated with that deck.
    You're welcome.

I am shocked Grinning Demon is not on that list. You played that card forever. Scrub.

We should try to put Skittles decks back together to play with at the GP. I miss those Etched Oracles.

I too appreciate Exalted Angel greatly. She was beast in my GW Slide deck.

You're Exalted Angel story reminds me of Craw Wurm. Back about 15 years ago when I first started playing Magic, that was my favorite card. Back then, a 6/4 was massive (to me and my scrubby playgroup), and I ran a bunch of shitty ramp effects to put it into play. Mmm, Craw Wurm. Oh, and Craw Giant too.

Just got back from our local.

I got to swing with an Exalted Angel with a Jitte with four counters on it AND a Sword of Feast and Famine!

I also got to attack with an Exalted Angel with a Batterskull equipped to it!
