Thread: [Deck] T.E.S. - The EPIC Storm

Bryantt should really thank that the MUD player was so bad. Playing against Chalice of the Void/3-Sphere on the finals would be bad times.

Then Bryant cabal therapies the geist leaving the opponent with just a land in hand. The opponent still opts to draw that card.
Not many chances he opts to draw a lone fow and it doesn't do anything anyway.
It can't be a spell pierce because :
    A) he would have drawn it instead of keeping it second
    B) he would have played it in resp to the first ritual
It also couldn't be a stifle for reason A or daze for both reasons.

Therefore it has to be a clique. Once first dark ritual resolves the right play against clique was to play IT and in resp play DR. If opponent plays clique you can still play the last DR with city of brass. If he doesn't we resolve DR and still in resp to the IT play the last DR.

But well you don't have to play perfectly to win at magic. You just need to be better than the other guy. He didn't play clique sooner and if I remember correctly didn't fetch in his turn opening himself to silence in resp to fetching. He also kept a lose hand on the draw against TES, so congratulations to Bryant still.
Learned more about playing around Vendilion Clique. Thanks.

    That's really next level....

About time Bryant! Congratulations for not only reaching top8 like you wished for in one of your articles but for winning it. What a great feeling to see TES taking first place. Report will be at Jupiter of SCG? ;)

Well done Bryant! Enjoyed watching your games, even though I had to do a face palm when they listed you as playing ANT :P

Did this guy really think Deathrite Shaman alone is going to win him games against TES? Strange keeps.

Thanks everyone. As for my "misplay", sure, in hindsight I would've made a different line of play. However, I wasn't playing around a two-of in my opponents deck at the time. Sometimes your opponents have it, sometimes you refuse to prize split and get rewarded.

And it wouldn't be too hard to protect him in counter-heavy build.

You very likely can build it without spending any money, just out of what you already have.
