But you didn't bring it up for SGC Sac.

Hopefully there will be a next time, even though I can't really travel for tournaments.

Aye, that trip was a pure whim. Didn't expect anyone to even play Magic from Sac-town, and the last vestige of Vintage from the Bay area died when CFB went pro.

OK, I'll likely get bored of Legacy after round 5 of the Grisel-RUG Prix. Then it's fuckin' on like donkey kong with the broken shitz playing for boxes of shit I don't want.

No worries. There wouldn't have really been any time to play. You top 8'd, I couldn't make it out to BC's the night before, and I played Enchantress in the event (so I didn't actually have any time between rounds).

Hopefully reports of the death of Bay Area Vintage will turn out to be greatly exaggerated (or at least it will return in zombie form for some good old fashioned brain eating). We (the grand "we", meaning people other than me) are working on it.

Have fun at the GP everyone!

LOL, I do have a feeling it'll be Grisel-RUG Prix. Unless we figure out a deck that can beat both, right?

Regardless of how I do, I have good news. I have the following Monday and Tuesday (and technically Wednesday for July 4th) off. So even if I scrub out, which there is a high chance of, Saturday/Sunday night can still be wonderful.

Also to the locals, despite being otherwise fairly shitty, Indianapolis had an absolutely bonkers plate of chicken and waffles. As a southerner by birth, I know in my heart that Atlanta can do better. I'm open to suggestions, as well as hungover companions Sunday morning.

I know that feel. The first GP in our country since 2007 and it's squarely in the middle of exams.

if its GPgrisselShow then no ones playing magic right. It wasn't GPrug'dapolis was it? I played against a different deck for 9 rounds at a 19XX person GP, and RUG and Maverick were 'THE DECKS'.

bring vintage, get side events going. Ill be live streaming from my iPhone/iPad/goPro hotspot the whole time Im there representing west coast legacy.

Is everyone going to supergames or the event site to grind on Friday? I know a group of us are headed out to the pink pony to get hammered Friday night.

Why would you go to a strip club to get hammered? That's like going to college because you need a place to stay.

Holy crap this is sooner than I thought... Thought it was late August for some reason. I'd love to make this but I don't see any way I'd find the time.

Presumably it's for the extracurricular activities?

    Re: [GP] Atlanta (Legacy format)

So I came across this handy guide to Atlanta from someone going by "Killer Mike":

"Hardcore G shit, homie, I don't play around
Ain't shit sweet bout the peach -- this Atlanta, clown
Home of the dealers and the strippers and the clubs, though
Catch you coming out that Magic City with a snub, ho
Lurking in the club on tourist motherfuckers
Welcome to Atlanta -- up your jewelry, motherfucker!
These monkey ni**as looking for some Luda and Jermaine
And all a ni**a found was a Ruger and some pain
Pow, motherfucker, pow! Come up off the chain
Pow, motherfucker, pow! One off in the brain
We some money-hungry wolves, and we down to eat the rich
Your bodyguard ain't shit, we strip him like a stripper bitch
These real-ass killers move in silence with violence
The minute it set off, we the motherfucking wildest
How you from Atlanta that they never speak upon
Where everybody got a sack of dope and a gun"

So bring guns and jewlery, don't look for Ludacris or go to Magic City, and there's plenty of dope available. Good to know!

Good to know that when I go 3-3-drop I'll have something to do.

For what it's worth and for those who care, I will officially be attending this and it will be (ironically) my first GP - ever.

    Can't wait!

Well looks like the Legacy event is going to be a sea of U/R/x homogeneity. I'm bringing W/b Jedi Ale and even if I'm 5-0 I'm taking my shiny cobra and dropping to play Vintage, hopefully we'll have enough to get win a box of crap's going.
