    [EDH] Wargames

"The only winning move is not to play."

    Some history to the deck...
I was playing some EDH, doing some of my normal slightly controllish stuff, at my local gamestore when the Jhoira player goes mental and starts casting Time Walk after Time Walk. You know how it goes, they have won now, it is only them taking turns however they will take their sweet arse time about it and might even allow one other person to have a turn at some point. Great, yawn, you did it! It was at this point I had a brainwave. I got home that evening and jumped on gatherer bringing up one of my all time favourite creatures: Chronatog. Hmm, what if I had a go at making a deck that did the opposite of taking all the turns. What if I made a deck that skipped as many turns as it could!?

With that the deck building began. First of all I needed an incentive/wincondition as to why I would skip my turns. Number one card on the list was Smokestack. Righty then, I guess I'm going to become a bad guy then. After getting a list of as many bad things that could happen during EACH player's upkeep as I could I started listing every card that would let me skip my own turn. Some of them are just sweet value ones like Meditate, some are hidden gems such as Magosi, the Waterveil (it lets you skip your turn every-one of your turns with no downside!). Others are just straight "screw you people" cards. Best thing about Time Stretch? It targets any player! I love the feeling of dread when all the upkeep cards are down and you just give someone two extra turns (evil cackle).

Anyways I decided I wanted some help with developing it now. It has been about a year since I built it so I think it deserves some love.

Wydwen has been a nice general, she gets out early. Blocks like a champ and can delay people until a lock is in place. She has also managed to aggro before when I ran Cranial Plating. I want to stay UB as although going Esper for Chronosavant would be nice, the hassle of changing the manabase is not worth it right now.
I think I need to give the deck more shape and put some more money into it. I don't want to add Underground Sea as mine are reserved for Legacy.

    Cards I need to get:
    Fatespinner
    City of Traitors
    Chalice of the Void
    Sunken Ruins
    Mox Opal

....and some cards I am considering:
    Eater of Days
Mist of Stagnation - Combos with Leyline of the Void if I were to add that too.
    Noetic Scales
    Necrogen Mists
    Endbringer
Suggestions appreciated :) Any cool skip-turn effects, lock pieces or things that will allow me to devlop gameplan quicker or make everyone wish they weren't playing; I would love to hear them!

We're catching bullets in our teeth,
Its hard to do but they're so sweet.
And if they take a couple out,
We try to work things out.....

Indeed I could. Would likely want to jack up the mana rock count if I were to do that as the deck has a lot of costly things that wouldn't fair so well if I was constrained on mana too.
    Thanks for the suggestion :)
