That is a good idea. We're going to have to do that around here for sure.

Funny, I played back then and I never heard about that variant. Glad to read about it now. I feel like I missed out back then.

Teams was so much fuuuuuuuuuunnn. AK for 13 or more cards anyone??? Loved it. Wish they'd start that again on Sundays so I could play.

Oh man I still have foil Sizzles too I think. List is missing Ankhs though, I think.

Also while I remember each player having 4 Berserks bitd, I'm pretty sure Wizards' unified-deck construction rules need to be applied.

Otherwise I'm pretty sure double-HighTide is the winningest move.

    List 1: Spring Tide

    9 Fetchlands
    9 Island
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Ponder
    4 Accumulated Knowledge
    4 Merchant Scroll
    4 High Tide
    4 Turnabout
    4 Candelabra of Tawnos
    4 Time Spiral
    4 Force of Will
    3 Pact of Negation
    3 Cunning Wish

    List 2: Solidarity-Ish

    10 Fetchlands
    9 Island
    4 Brainstorm
    4 Vision Skeins
    4 Accumulated Knowledge
    4 Intuition
    4 Snapcaster Mage
    4 Turnabout
    4 High Tide
    4 Force of Will
    4 Flusterstorm
    2 Pact of Negation
    2 Echoing Truth
    1 Brain Freeze

This seems like fun. I wonder if Berserk would be playable... having 8 does seem pretty good

This is amazing. It is indeed forgotten, though. ):

Great article, I remember doing something similar for years although not quite as defined or competitive. I might give that a shot again. Thanks for the read man.

I appreciate the kind words, the following week will be control/prison arch-type and the week afterwards will be combo. Seeing as this new format will be more combo heavy it only makes sense that it gets it's own article describing some of the many possible decks.

    STAY TUNED OR ELSE.

(If anyone would like to suggest ideas for the upcoming weeks feel free to message me)

Is this going to be a sanctioned format by wizards? If so, sounds like a lot of fun.

It used to be? I don't know if it still is.

No Minds Aglow/Posperity or Vision Skeins?

I'd expect multi-Aluren, Painter's Servant and Second Sunrise to get a little derpy.

The no table talk rule sounds kind of annoying and ruins the whole reason to play team games for me. Other than that, fun format.
