5 Trick Legacy Interactions Part 3

Here's Part 3. You guys are obviously pretty huge in determining what makes the cut in each of these, so feel free to add more interactions and we'll try to fit them in next time. Also, just keep in mind that you guys are above the curve in knowing these interactions so go easy on us :P

Re: [Free Article] Tricky Legacy Interactions - Part 3

I'm on the first one. HYFR! I guess pleading does work lol. Thanks for the credit and reading my feedback

I like every one of the interactions in this one, especially Batterskull/Equipment + Reality Ripple. I knew about it before from reading the feedback on the 2nd article, but reading about it for the first time was eye-opening. Very neat.

I'm glad you mentioned Miracle + Stifle/Clique. I'm hoping more and more people use those tricks against Miracle. Because. I. Hate. Terminus.

Here's another Sylvan Library interaction: Sylvan Library + Words of War. Use Words of War, replace 2-3 draws with Library on stack, and deal 4-6 damage.

I used WoW + Library in Enchantress. WoW is the traditional win condition and Sylvan Library is an optional inclusion. Anyway, WoW + Library was my favorite interaction.

Keep in mind if you have TWO Libraries, you can deal a maximum of TEN DAMAGE PER DRAW STEP. Bolded and capitalized for awesome it is when you pull that off in Enchantress. It feels great.

If a Tabernacle is on the table, you can also animate Darksteel Citadel with Tezzeret, too. Just sayin'

    I like these articles.

Here's my suggestion: Evading Counterbalance or Chalice of the Void when playing Engineered Explosives is maybe too obvious, but comes up in Legacy often enough (increasing X, but using the same colour(s) so that Explosives gets the same number of counters). It's similar to the Explosives/Thalia one already mentioned though.

Green Sun's Zenith and Counterbalance is similar.

EDIT: Another interesting trick is abusing Weathered Wayfarer with lands that are sacrificed as part of their ability (e.g. Wasteland) to tutor up lands even if your opponent has the same number of them in play as you (or less). Used to great effect in UW Tempo, the best deck ever.
One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

    Carrionette and Tortured Existence

Anybody see it? There are a few in fact. Actually, Carrionette has a shitload of cool plays just by itself.
"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job."
"Politicians are like diapers. They should be changed often and for the same reason."
"Governing is too important to be left to people as silly as politicians."
"Politicians were mostly people who'd had too little morals and ethics to stay lawyers."

    I love this series.

The only thing I learnt from this was "With Delver of Secrets, if your opponent reveals an instant or sorcery, it’s too late to kill it with Gut Shot or Stifle it" but even so it is nice to see the other interactions laid out so they are easy to reference when people complain about me 'drawing' with Library and not putting cards back, or Cliquing there Miracle.

It was actually me who brought this up in the thread. I feel robbed
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

See it now? When Reality Ripple targets the Germ token equipped by Batterskull, this monstrous artifact will phase out too. However, since the token will cease to exist, it won’t phase back in and consequently, the Batterskull will just not exist anymore, as odd as it sounds. In fact, it’s not even exiled, so if you had some sort of Pull from Eternity shenanigans, it wouldn’t work. Golden Wish wouldn’t work either because it’s not outside of the game. It…just doesn’t exist.

Hey man, I relooked at the thread and saw both of you guys mention it, so I added your name to the credits as well.

Re: [Free Article] Tricky Legacy Interactions - Part 3

These Articles provide some sweet interactions, even if you know them, having them in mind is good, and learning new thinks is great. Also, in most of the Primer, those interactions are not mentioned most f the time , even if the cards played.

    On a sidenote

"Phasing? In my Legacy? It’s more common than you think. Actually, that’s not true. Not true at all. "

i played my first tournament after a half-year break playing dreadstalker with vision charms, phasing out dreadnoughts all day :)

I think you have the stax and lands vs indestructible guy backwards. I've never seen lands play a magus.

EDIT: I checked the articles, but not the threads, there are several opportunities to stifle animate dead.

Re: [Free Article] Tricky Legacy Interactions - Part 3

I have another Sylvan Library Question.

Assuming the top card of my deck is an instant or Miricle which I put there last turn with Library.
    1. Draw a card
    2. Library goes on the Stack
    3. Cast the Miricle/instant that I have drawn.
    4. Replace both Library draws with Dredge.
    5. I now have no cards in-hand that I drawn this turn so does the "pay 4 life or return" part fizzle or do I have pay 4 life for the card I did draw that is no longer in my hand and therefore can not be put back?

I assume it fizzles because the "choose 2 cards in my hand" part fails to find any cards, but wanted to check I was correct?
