As a combo player, I can't give up that Seething Song. I've had way too many explosive starts with it. I like the Mox D, but I didn't want to sacrifice the Plains, either. One fetch seemed like the most logical cut.

I doubt I should get much credit for that when I'm clearly just taking Hyze's lead, but it's still flattering to see my list featured, nonetheless.

I'll be trying your build next event with a slight change. I'm gonna cut a nahiri for the 4th arid mesa. Feels like I'll need the extra land for the mox diamond

How did the testing go? Did you guys play Mono-Red vs R/W straight up? Are you both of the position that R/W is superior?

With the current meta mono red is the way to go. I strongly suggest running 2-3 fiery confluence in the main.

    What is fiery confluence for?
    Just a sweeper for delver?
The direct damage and artifact destruction mode does not seem too appealing to me

Kills needle, revoker, thalia, ensnaring bridge. Could even clear a board off all 4 of those with just one copy resolving. D&T and monored prison see a ton of play right now. If nothing else it's a sweeper that kills just about everything in that he meta except goyf and angler.

Fiery Confluence is a beating against a lot of the fair decks out there right now.

I only run 2 worldspine so I'd cut those for the other 2 confluence.

An interesting take on this deck 5-0'd a recent League. It had 3 Fiery Confluence and a Chandra, ToD main in place of Trinispheres, which were instead in the board. Looks sweet.

NO! I didn't get to. I had a bad spell of vertigo about 1.5 hours before hand and pussed out.
