    Banner weekend for Legacy

450 players showed up for the Ovino7 Legacy tournament (an additional 180 for Modern and 200 for Vintage).

311 players showed up for the SCG Invitational (half Legacy, half Standard).

350 players showed up for the SCG Legacy Open; 528 showed up for the Standard Open (which generally draws many more people than Legacy).

Looks like the format is getting even more popular!

To be fair, nobody drives to Ovinogeddon to play Modern. Guess people were more busy playing Legacy and Vintage grinders ;-)
The seven cardinal sins of Legacy:
    1. Discuss the unbanning of Land Tax Earthcraft.
    2. Argue that banning Force of Will would make the format healthier.
    3. Play Brainstorm without Fetchlands.
    4. Stifle Standstill.
    5. Think that Gaea's Blessing will make you Solidarity-proof.
    6. Pass priority after playing Infernal Tutor.
    7. Fail to playtest against Nourishing Lich (coZ iT wIlL gEt U!).

Sorry if this is out of topic.

But what is the best up-to-date site with the decklists from these events?

    http://starcitygames.com for SCG events.

Since the other is an Italian event, don't expect neither decklists nor correct names for Top8 competitors. I head Andreas Reling and Timo Schünemann Top8'ed the Legacy portion with Quadlazer Dredge and ANT.

Good Eurpoean combo players always crush these big events, it's an interesting phenomenon.

Edit: T8 is Reanimator, ANT, Goblins, Bant, UW Miracles, UW Miracles, Dredge, Goblins

They split the finals, from what I hear. Maybe they still played it out for fun and fame.

    FTFY

I just wish Wizards would throw Legacy players a bone more often.

http://www.thecouncil.es/tcdecks/for...?format=Legacy - it's slower than SCG for their events, but it offers decklists for tournaments around the globe.

    For Ovino: http://nerd-blog.com/2012/09/23/ovin...-top-8-legacy/

To be fair, most Modern players would rather be playing Legacy if they could afford it, with a few exceptions: people who hate cards like FoW, Counterspell, Wasteland, Swords to Plowshares, etc. and people who are trying to playing at a GP/PT. It shouldn't be surprising then that most Modern players are also unable to afford to travel to a tournament either, which is not the case with Vintage players.
