So ugly.
It is a neat idea for a foil, and it probably looks really nice in person (minus the hideous shooting star). But the Elspeth Vs. Tezz StP is just so much better.
This is up there with Goblin Welder as a bad judge reward promo.
I can understand that people are pissed. But stuff like Bribery isn't exactly high money tier, either.
Judge FoW would be pretty nice, but it would definitely have the new frame and shitty, new art (see MTGO promo FoW).
Imperial Recruiter is money, though. I also wonder how much a JMS would pull off if it was released as Judge Foil, considering the ridiculous foil prices.
Guys. Where are my Dogma Swords to Plowshares? I haven't pursued the endeavor in any way and they haven't fallen out of the sky yet. That's bullshit.
Nothing like the good old Ice Age StP.
Personally, my favorite art of Swords to Plowshares is the Duel Deck version art from Elspeth vs. Tezzeret. This one is alright, but my problem is that it's too literal. I still like it... alright, but I'm going to classify this as one of the promos where Wizards goes over the top... like with the Judge Promo Land Tax.
Foils do suck, but honestly I could do without the hard-on for non-'native language' cards. It's no different than the oddball textless cards that got released for a time. Textless Lightning Bolt is rad, but it's also one of Magic's oldest cards. Textless Cryptic Command? Fuck you.
There's not much difference in my mind from a textless card and a foreign card. It'll never happen, but I do wish people would consider ubiquity when playing with foreigns.
This is the hottest thing I've ever seen.
I just like seeing staples as judges rewards but I like it when they are also expensive cards so that it can sometimes help with supply. Cool StP art, though. I'd rather see it in an old frame.
