What do you board out for the green board? I assumed the Probes and any Manamorphose you have (my list has one right now). Thinking about playing this deck for the first time at a small tournament on Sunday so am eager to learn from those with experience! Though if I show up and it looks like >50% blue decks I might just play ANT or TES instead...
OK dudes, today is the day of the first sanctioned Legacy tourney round here since I built this deck so I'm hoping to play it in a few hours. If the room looks to be full of blue decks I will probably switch to ANT or TES though. I think I'm going to try out the green board too.
My list is:
4 Pyretic Ritual
1 Manamorphose
3 Chrome Mox
SB:
1 Forest
4 Carpet of Flowers
4 Xantid Swarm
1 Empty the Warrens
1 Pyroclasm
1 Reverent Silence
1 Telemin Performance
1 Meltdown
1 ??????
I think you want the 4th chrome mox for the green board. You should definitely play an Infernal Tutor in the board. I win 50%+ of my games with it g2 and g3. Maybe a Goblin Warstrike instead of pyroclasm? What do you plan on killing with it? Gaddock Teeg? To kill Thalia you'll need 6 mana. Maybe a flame slash instead? Instead of meltdown what about shattering spree? Costs 1 to kill cannonist, needle instead of 2-3.
Haven't played this deck for over a year, but I'm going to rebuild it.
3 Burning Wish
3 Chrome Mox
4 Desperate Ritual
4 Elvish Spirit Guide
3 Empty the Warrens
4 Gitaxian Probe
4 Goblin Charbelcher
4 Land Grant
4 Lion's Eye Diamond
4 Lotus Petal
2 Manamorphose
4 Pyretic Ritual
4 Rite of Flame
4 Seething Song
4 Simian Spirit Guide
1 Taiga
4 Tinder Wall
1 Cave-In
1 Empty the Warrens
1 Flame Slash
1 Goblin War Strike
1 Infernal Tutor
4 Pyroblast
1 Reverent Silence
1 Shattering Spree
4 Xantid Swarm

L2 Judge
Is it ok if i have no LED and stomping ground instead of taiga. I wanna play belcher on a budget...
Then why did sonny aparicio got to top 8 if its not playable without LED?

So Belcher is 9-0 at GP Kyoto :)
Primary legacy deck High Tide primer
Shirakihara Ryuichi, finish at 49th with 11-4.

Playing since '96. Brief forced break '02-04. Former/Idle Judge since '05. Told Smmenen to play faster at Vintage Worlds.

Most of the 'Ban brainstorm!' arguments are based on the logic that 'more different cards should get played in Legacy', as though the success or health of the format can be measured by the portion of cards that are available and see play. This is an idiotic metric.
Well majority of day 2 was Delver decks. Probably has something to do with the x-4 on day 2. A belcher deck going 9-0 doesn't fail to be recognized

TES: 102nd out of 2000 players at GP Kyoto 2015 (Legacy)
UR Storm: 37th of 950 players at GP Guangzhou 2016 (Modern)
I'm considering to pick this deck up, just because it's something else then the decks i usually play.
Is there a reason that noone plays the recross the paths version anymore?
Is there a consensus over the best main deck?
Thanks in advance.
1. The raw speed of belcher is definitely the reason to play it. Recross the paths is cheaper, but slower and still has the same weaknesses as 1-land belcher. Imo there isn't a strength that justify it over 1land Belcher.
2.

Hello,
1. Pyroclasm or Cave-In?
2. 3/1 split MD/SB or 4 MD Land Grant?
I try to read up on belcher but these two I am not sure about.
Also:
3. Has Carpet of Flowers 'replaced' Pyroblast in this build?
