The only deck I lost to was Solidarity, I went undefeated into Top 8 and faced a terrible matchup and I was unprepared in my side for it. It's nice to see Solitaire start to post a good spot again, first time since the bannings, really. Two Solidarity decks were played and two made it in, one was mono blue the other was blue/white.

    3-4: Mono Black LD (unregged)
    3-4: Goblin Sligh (unregged)

What the fuck is wrong with this picture?
There were other good decks there, again, but they didn't make it. I was playing Survival Advantage and lost to RIDICULOUS hands by UG Madness both games (Ryan's deck, played by thomas... I swear to God, Ryan's deck hates the fuck out of me, and it gives whoever is playing it God hands).
Someone please help our meta. :(

You know how to help your failing environment Kryand? Learn how to play good decks well. Then you won't lose to the scrubs with bad decks.

Yet another crazy day at Horizon...
Sligh was running Mountain Yeti, Drooling Ogre, Steel Golem, Volcanic Hammer... wtf.
Staff was combo: ran counter magic and card draw with elves/BoP for acceleration, and used Life/Death, Cradle, and Staff for infinite mana to kill with Braingeyser.
R/U Control was running Mirari, Masticore, Palinchron, Mana Flare and stuff.

With engineered explosives, it is a good card to have against non-land permanents with converted mana cost equal to what you set the explosives to, but it doesn't hit those that have differing cc. Plus, engineered explosives has sunburst.

    SCG Top 8s

I feel like this information should be included in any analysis that happens but don't feel like copy-pasting it everytime somebody does. If you are interested in what is winning take a look, but please don't post your results in both places, pick one that way we don't skew the results with double postings.

Dizzy Dugout about 30 mins away from St. Louis across the river in Illinois on December 12, 2004.
About 20 people with 4 rounds of Swiss.

    1st Goblins 4-0
    2nd Fish 3-1
    3rd Sligh 3-1
    4th Enchantress 3-1
    5th Emerald Alice (gro) 3-1 - me
    6th Landstill 3-1
    7th ? some scrub
    8th ? scrub

It was a free tournement with arena cards for prizes. GO FOIL IMPULSE!!!!

Was a complete disappointment for me. First time to this shop and I was hopeing they would be much more serious than they were. Pretty much me and my friends from this other shop came and dominated with decks we thought were iffy.

A lot of sligh but I think this was due to the skill level and the cheapness of the deck. My friend was the one that piolited it to first but he had a good build.

    I saw some 4C Enchantress/Survival there.
Then I ran into another Enchantress build but it was mono green using a huge Yavimaya Enchantress or Words of War to win.

Posts merged so all the info is in the same post.

At JSS the only match I lost was to some person that topdecked 4 plow unders and 2 sowing salts.

In top 4 I play him again and win by topdecking mindslaver. He is all yelling about topdeckers and i didn\'t say anything but after he left i figured out what i should of said. \"BITCH 4 plow unders and 2 sowing salts.\"

The place was Horizon in Webster, Tx
The person playing Angel Stompy was drake33535, I think thats right. Another thing is that it wasn't a Random elves it was more of an Elf Stompy.
